Great staff at a very traditional hotel in the outskirts of Venice. Easy transportation to Venice with the train 2 minutes away, taking around 20 minutes to get to the island.
There is really nothing “palace” about this place. It’s a remodeled old hotel, and you can tell — even down to the old-style keys for the rooms.
The biggest disappointment was the lack of proper air conditioning. Our room was very hot, and the only way to get fresh air was to open the (thankfully large) windows. But that created another problem: directly across the street there’s a bar with loud music going past midnight, which made it very difficult to sleep.
On the positive side, the hotel was clean and the breakfast was decent. Still, overall, the experience was far from comfortable, and I wouldn’t return.
Easy access to Venezia from here and there are some restaurants nearby. I found breakfast to be a reasonable at 8 EUR given other options. The American big breakfast doesn’t exist in a lot of European cities. The hotel has a lot of desert options for breakfast to give you the energy boost, but they also have eggs and bacon (not crisp) cooked up. The room is small, but sufficient. My only challenge with the room is it was south facing so it got pretty hot and the hotel hadn’t turned on the A/C yet; the thermostat in my room didn’t activate it. If I opened the balcony door it let in the mosquitoes, so I tolerated the heat.
Our stay was absolutely horrible. In our room somewhere above the ceiling was a fan that was working day and night making a lot of noise. Near our window, just under it, there was a smoking area. Starting from 3am till 12am there was someone talking loudly and smoking. So no chance of sleeping or relaxing at any time of day or night. The smell
of smoking was constantly in our room. Bedsheets wore clean, but blankets wore with yellow stains.Breakfast ok. One good thing about this hotel is that it is 2 minutes walk from the train station from where you can get to Venice in 25 minutes.

Hotel pulito, un poco datato. Personale molto cordiale
Walgelijk.
When I went to the hotel, staff told me that they have a problem with reservations and they can't give me room for my whole stay. I had to go into a room and wait for the night for information on where I can sleep the next night. The next day I had to go out of my first room and left my baggage in the reception for the whole day. Fortunately, when I came back that night staff had a room for me.
In both rooms, ac didn't work. In the first room, the tv didn't work and in the second room I didn't have a tv at all.
