The property was perfect for us , shady terrace in the late afternoon helped us to cool down , although there were plenty of other sunny areas around the pool and gardens . The pool is large and immaculately kept with large shaded kitchen area and relaxing sofas and chairs . Sun beds are comfortable and padded cushions are clean and well maintained Caspian and Lulu were wonderful hosts , informative on the area and no questions were too trivial . The whole holiday was a delight and we can’t wait to return next summer if they will have us , and our dog Harry ! Many many thanks

Perfect peace!
House is so well equipped and comfortable in a beautiful setting that we just loved being there. Add wonderful helpful, obliging but unobtrusive hosts, plus proximity to all our needs, there was nothing not to love!

Heerlijk verblijf!
We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Hazelnut Cottage. Caspian en Lulu zijn heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het huisje is heel mooi en schoon en we hebben genoten van het zwembad. Er is genoeg te doen in de omgeving.

Sejour au calme
Nous avons séjourné à 3 adultes + 1 enfant. C’était des vacances idéales pour être au calme ! Il est impératif d’avoir une voiture pour pouvoir profiter pleinement du séjour. Caspian et Lulu sont des hôtes très gentils, disponibles et très discrets. Le logement se situe dans leur domaine, qui est très bien entretenu.

A beautiful ‘Get Away From It All’ place to stay.
We spent ten days at Hazlenut Cottage, and appreciated the peace and quiet, the fantastic pool and the spacious accommodation. A car is an absolute must staying here, to get to the local supermarket, nearby villages and towns and the various vineyards and restaurants in the area. We had really hot weather during our stay, and felt the only enhancement to the cottage would be air conditioning in the living area and the bedrooms, as it was impossible to keep the fans on in the bedrooms at night, (too noisy) and opening doors and windows let in mosquitos, who were happy to munch away on any exposed skin! Caspian was a fantastic host, on hand to help if needed, but respecting our privacy. Would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an ideal peaceful retreat.

The property was exactly as listed. The owner however was not! We had a couple of personal issues to deal with. Caspian was kind, helpful, empathetic and considerate. He acted as taxi driver when we needed to find an EV charger, he offered another property in case we needed to extend our stay in France, he enabled the morning visits of a nurse. The listing should read … owner -St Caspian.

Perfect for our family, stayed in Hazelnut and it had all we needed, loved the pool, outdoor kitchen area and ability to walk through the surrounding vineyards with our Labrador...Caspian is the host in the background, but there to help when needed...we will be back, thank you so much.

Accueil très sympa de Caspian et sa femme et de Joe leur chienne. Bous avions nous aussi une chienne. Superbe batisse tres bien décorée. Grande piscine chauffée super pour la nage et tres grand terrain donnant sur les vignes et champs. Tranquillité absolue.

Belle semaine au calme
Le logement proposé est tel que decrit dans l'annonce. Tres fonctionnel tout en ayabt beaucoup de cachet. Le jardin, très bieb entretenu et très grand est un un plaisir, surtout pour des citadins ! La piscine chauffée est nickel. Les proprietaires sont sur place mais cela ne derange pas, tout comme l'autre location. Bref une super semaine a renouveler au calme de la Dordogne !

Beautiful place, had a very relaxing holiday
The Hazelnut Cottage is very spacious and confortable, including 2 bedrooms and, a well equiped kitchen and a great badroom. The terrace is a great spot to look at the large garden. On top of that, the swimming pool and outdoor kitchen is an excellent place to spend your time, very relaxing, just wonderful! Caspian is a great host, helpful and with respectful to our privacy. We really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend it!

Séjour au calme sur une magnifique propriété
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine sur la propriété de Caspian. Le logement est de caractère et spacieux et la maison de maître de plus de 300 ans magnifique. La piscine et sa pool house sont un atout majeur, de par leur grandeur, propreté, équipements et éloignement relatif de la propriété permettant de ne gêner personne. La location est extrêmement calme et la vue dégagée sur les vignes et les champs. Il y a beaucoup de visites à faire dans les environs, et les commodités sont proches. Caspian est un hôte sympathique, attentionné et discret.

Très bon séjour dans le Périgord Pourpre
Fantastique location (maison, jardin et superbe piscine) qui nous a permis de découvrir la région du Périgord Pourpre. Les locataires sont d'une très grande gentillesse et nous ont donnés nombres d'informations utiles (restaurants, marchés, centre d'intérêt) pour parfaire ce séjour. Nous recommandons cette location sans hésitation.
