This is the closest spot one can find near the temple. However the rooms are very average and not very comfortable. The room size is very small. The staff is not very responsive. This hotel is great for location but for everything else it is very average. There is shopping option and food option in the temple complex, but it is still some amount of walking. The hotel does not provide any type of room service, not even chai. It is good for main temple darshan, but if you truly want to explore varanasi food, shopping and rest of the temples, you still have to walk in narrow lanes outside the temple complex. Overall I recommend this place for its proximity to the main temple.

Needs better service

The reception was too slow to check me in. The service was ok. The bathroom of room number 306 where I stayed doesn’t have a slope to allow the water to seep away. The washroom got filled with water because of that reason. Location is excellent but security measures don’t allow access to corridor directly hence one needs to go around the galis to reach gate no 4.

Very conveniently located but entry and exit are challenging due to surrounding security restrictions. Not many people know this property by southern grand Kasi, they call it Bhimas Shankar Guest House.

Don't book this hotel. Check in is not just tricky when it's crowded as it is the case starting 8 AM or so even a rickshaw won't be available for you to reach the hotel, there is no restaurant, after check in everytime you want to go out and come back to your room you will have to use one of the crowded back alleys which also happen to be dirty. Stay outside of the whole temple corridor, definitely don't book this so called hotel.

Building has serious problem in rainy season where moisture builds up on floor and walls and you have to keep running your chiller AC at low temperature continuously. Being inside premise is good for accessing temple parisar but you have go through tight security or has to walk outside to reach to other gates for Darshan
