"I stayed for two nights in late July. Check in was super easy. It's across from the fjord and 3 minutes from the grocery and wine shops. It's a few steps to a bar and local restaurants. In other words, great location! It's a tad dated in the room but very comfortable. Breakfast was great. Very good coffee. Definitely recommend."

"The room was clean and well maintained. The shared washrooms were also very clean. There is also a faucet and sink in the room as well. The staff was helpful as well. The breakfast in general is excellent. This is one of very few possible stays in Rosendal. As Rosendal is a small town, it was expected that the hotel is less polished. But the hotel is very clean from the inside. However, there will be bugs (flies/gnatts) in the summer. Don't know if it is a good or bad thing. There were signs saying "This hotel is for sale" during my visit."

"Sigurd’s home is absolutely lovely. The location is peaceful and beautiful, with a wonderful view. But more importantly, the house is spotless and equipped with everything you need to have a home away from home. We hated leaving. And he responded to any needs we had right away. "The staff was GREAT! They made us feel at home and were very friendly. The rooms were neat and clean. We were located close to the Steinsdalfossen and a bit further to the Voringsfossen. The Trolltunga is accessable too; you just need to be prepared for a 20 km hike. Oh, and the breakfast rocks!"

"No way to blow dry your hair by a mirror. No outlets in bathroom. Locks difficult to use. Shower got almost the entire bathroom floor wet - that’s probably why no outlets!"
