Incredible Valréas Stay

Loved our stay at Chateau Montplaisir! Our hosts were incredible friendly and the chateau is gorgeous, feeling like you’re walking into a piece of history. They recommended a beautiful walk for us to go on our first day. Our stay included delicious breakfasts served on their patio overlooking the pool and views of Valreas including fresh fruit, fresh-squeezed OJ, homemade jams and yogurt, croissants and baguette. Delicious tea and coffee as well! Additionally we had a wine tasting with Benoit who along with hosting us is the wine maker. All the wines we tasted were delicious and so we opted to buy a few bottles along with the homemade jams. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Chateau Montplaisir and want to go back!

Stay in a real Chateau!

It was a great experience to stay for three nights in a real French Chateau built in 1690. Two lovely hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable accommodation with easy vehicle access to places around. Good wi-fi, parking and a great size bedroom.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. De kamer was mooi en ruim opgezet. Badkamer ook luxe. De eigenaar is ook wijnmaker en neemt je graag mee in zijn passie dmv een wijnproeverij. Ook het ontbijt, dat geserveerd werd bij het zwembad, was heerlijk.

Un petit château très confortable

Such a great place!

We had a great stay at the Chateau. The rooms are newly renovated, breakfast was really good and the hosts are lovely people. Dont forget to try their wines while you stay at the Chateau. All in all - 10 out of 10!

Déception

Nous avons choisi de faire un séjour en chambre d'hôtes et non en hôtel pour avoir des hôtes. Déception à l'arrivée. Les hôtes n'étaient pas présents. La personne qui les a remplacés était très agréable, et a fait son maximum, mais elle n'était pas au courant de tout : pas de bouteilles d'eau comme prévu (elle a répondu à notre demande), quid des free welcome drinks ? Nous pensions profiter de la table d'hôte, mais sans les hôtes point de tables d'hôte. Sauf le dernier jour, mais nous avions déjà anticipé une solution pour ce jour-là, les restaurants conseillés de la ville étant tous fermés. Nous ne voulions pas nous rabattre sur des sandwichs du commerce une troisième fois. C'est dommage. Nous aurions préféré une réponse négative lors de la confirmation du séjour pour reporter notre choix sur une maison d'hôtes peu être moins cotée, avec des hôtes et les services associés. Ou un hôtel moins cher mais dont les services auraient correspondu au tarif. C'est dommage car le cadre était très agréable.

Spectacular vineyard chateau in the Rhone valley.

Beautifully appointed rooms, owners that truly care about the guest experience, excellent food, and everything you want to know about wine making in the region from soil to first sip. We couldn’t have asked for anything more from our stay at Chateau MontPlaisir. Our expectations were exceeded on every front and as a result we had exactly the kind of Rhone valley experience we had dreamed of having. Eugenie and Benoit have invested their knowledge and passion into the property and it shines because of it. The room was 10/10 for comfort and sleep quality, the included breakfasts were excellent, and optional dinner was fine dining quality fare. We would, and hopefully will, go back in a heartbeat!

La vie de château ! On adore !

Séjour top dans un cadre idyllique. Les hôtes ont été aux petits soins. La cerise sur le gâteau a été une visite de la cave avec dégustation de vin ! Que du bonheur ! Je recommande !
