Owl’s Hollow - Stunning Brow View

    Dogs are allowed with $50 fee per stay. Max 2 dogs under 40 lbs. No cats or aggressive breeds. Keep pets off furniture, please clean up after them and crate if alone.

    Just a four minute drive to quaint downtown Mentone and just 16 minutes to De Soto State Park.

    There is a trail camera in the driveway facing outward, used to capture wildlife.

    Open floor plan allows for together-time with family and friends. Views from the living and dining rooms are simply amazing. We are always looking for ways to improve your experience and welcome suggestions. Our goal is to create a carefree getaway so you can enjoy your time doing what’s important…kickin’ back and enjoying precious time together.

    The entire cabin is for guests.

    We are always available to answer questions or concerns.

    We have an outdoor trail camera in the driveway area. It is used to try and capture wildlife.

Such a cute cabin. The kitchen is well equipped. Great use of space. The view is absolutely beautiful. The host, Angie, is very responsive! We hope to come back again.

This cabin is just perfect! It’s super clean, well-stocked, fabulous view, and comfortable beds and furniture. The little things really DO matter - plenty of toilet paper (GOOD tp, not sandpaper), plush towels, soft sheets, hot tub towels, etc. we will definitely be back!

Location was excellent and the view was gorgeous, just what we wanted. Cabin had everything we needed to cook with, nice linens, good products to use and the host was wonderful to work with.

Our girls getaway was perfect!! Much needed! Beautiful view of the mountain and valley!! Sunsets were amazing!!! Lived our coffee in the hot tub!! Enjoyed the porch swing with the beautiful landscaping!! We watched movies and even used the fireplace one night to knock of the chill!! The decor of the cabin was AWESOME!!! I wanted to have a getaway with my girlfriend in a quiet rustic cabin with a great view and Owl's Hollow really delivers. Clean and well maintained propertyand the hosts were very accomodating and helpful with any questions or issues

What an amazing place to come and escape the rat race that we all live in. The host's are an awesome couple. Please make sure that you try Mentone Excursions. This stay was definitely one for the books. It will make you rethink your whole life in regards to where you may currently live. This small community is so respectful and humble. Definitely God's Country. My family and I had such an great time here for the one week that we stayed. The cabin was sooo beautiful. The property was managed well outside also. Out of EVERYTHING we did....the Harris' next door were the highlight of our getaway. What a w o n d e r f u l couple. We are so blessed and happy to have crossed paths with them. Make sure to visit the Mennonite Farmers Market at 1505 AL-71 Section, AL. We look forward to coming to stay again! You will not find a better place with a better view of the sunsets each night. This place has earned such a spot in our hearts. 🫂

The whole experience was incredible. The views were unmatched to any I have ever seen. The cabin was cozy and clean and laid out really well. Hot tub was great and the property was filled with trees, plants, and flowers with lots of birds singing. It was also very quiet with almost zero road noise. Just a magical experience and very convenient to restaurants, shopping downtown and Desoto Falls. Angie, our host, was excellent and communicated very well. We will return to this property for sure!

We loved our stay at owl hollow! The cabin was perfect for our group. We loved the layout and the decor! Angie and Laylon are very devoted hosts that seem invested in the mentone community and really want to support it! The location is excellent-very close to the main drag but far enough so you don’t feel crowded. We were all very sad to have to leave, and will be back to stay again!

Perfect blend of rustic cabin with modern amenities. Beautiful view especially while relaxing in the hot tub! Community has wonderful dining experience. Short drive to desoto falls, little river canyon and Cloudland canyon in GA.

As advertised- Great get-a-way cabin. Enjoyed the view , hot tub, and Mentone area. They provide everything you would normally need. They have a pod coffee maker and provide pods, creamer, sweetners . FYI- No Decaf. Also no shampoo /conditionaer in the bath. Overall they do a great job thinking of what you will need.

This was the perfect getaway! The host thought of everything that we would need in the cabin and outside. The lights strung on the front porch and down the stone pathway leading to the hot tub and fire pit were a welcoming touch. This all overlooked the brow with the magnificent sunsets that I dared not miss any night we were there. In addition to the fun hikes, a lot of lazy time was spent in the hammock or on the big porch swing or rocking chairs or playing a game from their cabinet. Good times!

Our family loves this property. If you have a family, this is a great choice. The open concept allows for easy gathering in the living areas and the view from the cabin can’t be beat. The front porch is where we sat for morning coffee and most meals..such a great view and the breeze…it definitely didn’t feel like July. The host is great and easy to work with, hot tub is hot and the view from the hot tub , kitchen is well equipped, Wi-Fi works great so if you need to work remotely that won’t be a problem. This is the place to be!!!…the place you will come back to again and again.
