My husband, son and I enjoyed five amazing days at this rental property. It was light, bright, clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed.
Proxemity to the beach is great. Just a few short blocks away, or about a 7 minute walk. If you have a little one, as we do, think about bringing a wagon to carry all your stuff. There's a sandy downhill slope to get to the lake, so you won't be able to lug your stroller down there. Not a big deal at all, but something to keep in mind.
This property is across Red Arrow Highway which the commuter train runs along, so if you are a light sleeper, note that you'll likely hear the train whistle once or twice while you're there.
There are PLENTY of towels for your stay (both bath and beach), which is nice. The screened porch is amazing for relaxing, with overhead fans and a nice cross breeze as it has screens on three sides. My husband and I spent quite a bit of time out there once we put our little one to bed.
The neighborhood is ideal. Beautiful area to walk around in, grab a coffee or lunch from Whistle Stop, and just be away from it all.
Our host was so lovely, too! Highly recommend staying here (and would do it year-round!).
