This was our favorite hotel on our mini-tour of Germany. Adorable and historic, the rooms were perfectly renovated so the floors don't creak and you can't hear thru the walls or floor/roof. Delightful balcony off our room had perfect view of cathedral. We got three spacious rooms all together in the same corridor, so we could leave the doors open and roam between rooms. The food was delicious and there was always a crowd. Located in the walking only part of town, it was steps from the Christmas Market, shopping and food.

Absolutely fantastic hotel in the heart of old town Trier! This luxury hotel was wonderful and very quiet. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were catching the train before the scheduled breakfast and they remembered from two days earlier that we would love to have a to-go breakfast. When we came downstairs it was ready for us and a taxi had been called. WOW!!

Great room, location, view, breakfast!

Room was great with a view. Greeted with fruit and chocolate. Check in is only available after 3, but they offered us a drink while we waited. Breakfast was amazing - 5 stars! Super convenient for walking the town. Check out was smooth and they gave a jar of jam to go. How sweet. Staff were very German -- haha, curt, but nice enough.

An elegant, peaceful retreat in the heart of Trier

We really enjoyed our stay at Romantik Hotel zur Glocke. Every detail in our suite felt above and beyond what we expected. The spacious, quiet room was beautifully decorated, and the comfortable furniture made it easy to relax. From the plush bedding to the high-quality toiletries and the perfectly placed lighting, every element felt chosen with care. My favourite spot was the cosy window nook that overlooked the street, a wonderful place to unwind and watch people pass by. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh options and eggs cooked just beautifully. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Trier, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was a truly special stay, and we would be so happy to return just to stay there again.
