Good Place Good Location Good View!

This was a nice place to stay, a little outside Traverse City, so there wasn't so much traffic. Very easy to get in and settle and I appreciated the free snacks. The photos don't show Hwy 31 between the balcony and the view. Also, the pictures are of other rooms that have larger kitchens, so I was disappointed to have a tiny cube fridge and small microwave. There is a large, communal kitchen shared by the floor. I thought it was odd that the veranda runs across the whole front, so my room was not private - people could walk by my window at any time. They provided disposable dishes and flatware. The place was very beautifully decorated, very clean, a comfortable step up from a motel, and a great location!

Wedding weekend

As guests of our friends wedding we booked Gold Coast because location was perfect between Elk Lake and Mission Point. It was a great location, Michigan fall colors were at peak. We hoped for the beautiful sunset but the clouds stopped that.

All was PERFECT!!

Very impressed upon arrival - and it just got better. Everything was SO clean, bright, well stocked, clean bedding not just the sheets, floors were barefoot clean. The girl doing laundry the next morning was so friendly, classy girl. All was perfect!!

I am pointing all this out that i am willing to change this review once a manager actually calls me and takes care of this. My credits didnt apply. My wife and I booked this for the low cost and look of this location for our 1 year anniversary. We got there and there is no one at the location at all for any issues, we got a code to enter the door and then a code for our room. The first night we are getting relaxed for the night and then we hear noises throughout the hotel. Out of the blue someone enters a code and enters our room. A complete stranger entered our room with a code. No extra locks just the door lock is on the room. I lose my mind and then try to talk to this person. After calming down and seeing he has a family with him we talk about this. He shows me that he booked the room and True North sent him the room number (which was mine) and the code (which was mine). I try to reach someone and you get a call center and they aren't here they are somewhere else. They tell me we will try to help out. 3 hours go by and then i get told they gave him a room somewhere else. I explain thats not good enough i don't know this person and he has the code to my room. I get after more time a new code finally and treated like hey no big deal we fixed it. I explain i want a manager to call me and immediately because no that's not the end to this. I get no call no nothing I have to email 5 more times before i get a text from someone saying hes a manager and sorry hes on vacation.

Traverse city vrbo

This was like staying at a hotel except there was no one to get help from. The extra charges were crazy and four separate taxes?? Just crazy. We left the room like they asked (hotels do not make you take sheets off the bed) and damaged nothing but have received no credits from the deposit. The rules and stress we had about the white towels was not appreciated. We were afraid to even use towels or we would be charged damage fees. The room was a nice clean “hotel room” and the road noise did not bother us unless we sat on the shared balcony to watch the sunset. Still waiting to hear back about all the additional charges. We will not do a Vrbo again in that area. If we go back it will be to a hotel. No sneaky crazy additional charges. Just one tax.

Don’t forget your room passcode

Don’t forget your door passcode it’s crucial. With my cell phones and keys to car inside room we exited our room for the balcony? And after 3 hours we both had the numbers transposed in our heads and , there were no phones, no employees, no outside lines and only one other guest that was hesitate to open door, to let us use his phone to call management company. DONT FORGET YOUR CODE

Great spot

In an area nice and clean had no problems whatsoever only suggestion I will make it hope you guys make this even better I’d have an ice machine and we could’ve had some larger waste baskets as well as oh another table on the other side of the bed nightstand I should say but that’s just minor everything else was great he’s a comedian in an out and a beautiful beautiful view oh and what are you think my wife added a hook in the shower just a little things that make it even better we enjoyed it
