In the winter months we get A LOT of snow! Which makes for fun winter sports, but it also means road conditions are almost always snowy. All wheel drive is highly encouraged for the neighborhood roads!

We had a lovely time together at this property. Check-in was easy and seamless. The kitchen was very nicely updated with plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed the outdoor deck for dinners and hanging out as well as the outdoor firepit. The bedrooms were situated well although it would have been nice to have a king bed from downstairs up in the bedroom next to the bunk room. For the most part, we were pleased with this property and would stay here again.

Wedding week

The property was exactly what we needed for our family vacation and family wedding. Everything we need was there. It was awesome to have the passes for the indoor/outdoor pool and private beach.

Home is in a beautiful area, within 30 minutes of everywhere we needed to go/be. Very peaceful and quiet. My whole family enjoyed, plenty of room for everyone.

Great Summertime Getaway

Our group of three families (including 2 four year olds and a two year old) had a terrific stay. The house was very spacious, the kitchen accommodating, and the pool/private beach access was invaluable. There were plenty of toys for the little ones along with a cozy fire pit for roasting hot dogs and s’mores.

Conference Meetings

Very good location for the resort. House is very nice and spacious. Everything we needed was there. Connie is great to work with and very helpful. Loved watching the deer in the yard. We have the conference up there again next year and will book this same place!

Magnificent

Golf Trip

Stayed with a large group of 12 golfers, and the house was plenty big enough to spread out with that many. Great location for being near the golf courses, ski resorts and downtown Bellaire. There were no kids with us, but looked like plenty for kids to do at the house.

Beautiful space and tons of room!

We were in town for a wedding and this place was perfect! It's tucked in a woody, hilly neighborhood that made for great walking and provided that "get away from it all" feeling. The home is spacious and spread out, so plenty of people can stay here, yet still have space to spread out and relax. We loved that there was a basketball hoop, a spacious deck to play Corn Hole on, and enjoyed the fire pit too. We've stayed in this area before, and love the location. Would definitely stay here again!

Annual Family Ski trip

This is a great home to stay for a ski trip. It’s close to the slopes, tubing hill and the town of Bellaire. This home has a great kitchen/dinning area, family room on both floors and a great kids play area on the third floor. I highly recommend this house for families! Thank-you Courtney!

Christmas in July

This trip was an annual July vacation we gift to our children at Christmas. This was our first time here and we all had a great time. Spent a great day on Lake Bellaire and when it rained we were able to enjoy the indoor pool at the resort. We also spent a few hrs at the resort golf and game simulator room which was enjoyed by all. Home was very clean and enjoyable. Owner was very responsive and helpful!

Bachelorette Get Away

My group of 9 women really loved staying here. There we as plenty of room for all of us to stay and be comfortable. It’s an older cabin but it was just perfect! For parking we were able to fit 5 cars there two in the garage and three on the drive way. We also had access to the hotels near by for the pools and it was perfect. Would come back!

Family Getaway

We had a great time in Bellaire. The property is as depicted with new floors, appliances, bathrooms.Courtney was a great host. We enjoyed games, cooking, movies and cozy fires. Shanty/Schuss has plenty of activity- we went snow tubing and had a great time. I'd definitely rent this again. Thanks Courtney!!

The perfect spot!

Courtney was so easy to communicate with and very quick to respond to any questions or messages I had sent to her. The home was perfect for our needs. We had a group of 9 and it accommodated us well! Close to everything you could need including indoor pools and downtown Bellaire for dinner and drinks!

Relaxing stay

The house was large and had a nice layout for our group of 3 families, each getting their own space. The location was nice and the access to the pools and private beach on Lake Bellaire were definitely a special part of the rental. We didn’t make too much use of the playroom upstairs because it was a little musty but would probably be nice in the winter months. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Second stay here - love this place for groups

This was our second stay at this house. It’s perfect for two families and we had so much fun skiing and being able to gather and enjoy our friends who live far away by coming together in this home. Close to the hills, shorts and downtown Bellaire. We will continue to come back!

Snowy Getaway

The house was a perfect place for our group, it had everything we needed. Great place to come back to after skiing, we were able to warm by the fire and watch football on a huge TV. The kitchen is well stocked and clean. Courtney was quick to respond to all communications. We will be back!

Great ski weekend for a group!

Overall we had a great stay for our group to enjoy a ski weekend at Schuss Mountain. The location is about an 8-10 minute drive from the resort. There was a LOT of snow this weekend which made the driveway a bit difficult to navigate even with AWD vehicles, but we contacted the owner and she sent the plow back out for us. There is room for 2 cars in the garage and 1 in the driveway but no ability to turn around with all the snow, and no street parking. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful and the large pantry off the kitchen was great for storing all of our food and snacks. The scenery is so pretty and I imagine is gorgeous in the summer months. Lots of places to sleep and hang out.

Wonderful winter getaway

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was great in many ways, close to skiing, lots of space in the house, a nice layout and a real wood fireplace in the living room complemented with a large TV. The house sits on a hill with a wonderful view from every room and it is quite spacious, we had plenty of room for the 5 of us. You can easily have 2-3 couples with kids and have plenty of room. We enjoyed it a lot, more than expected and wanted to stay even longer that we did. When we are skiing in the area, we will for sure have this home on top of the list. The host was great and even left our kids a little treat for hot chocolate. A very nice vacation. Thank You.

Spacious woodland escape

The location and space for our group of 8 was great as well as the fireplace and fire pit! The front door was opened when arriving. The garage was a great space, but our roof racks did not fit (by less than 1 inch) so we parked in the driveway. The listing online was confusing as it stated an 11 AM checkout, though the owner stated later that it was a 10 AM checkout, The hosts were great in honoring what was advertised, just be aware they expect 10 AM for checkout. I would return to this location in the future.
