Location but….
Great location but my room was less than ideal. Holes in the wall, tiles falling off and a molding chair. The room could use a dehumidifier, I know humidity this was different. My clothes that got wet were unable to dry in the room over a 36 hour period with the AC running the entire time. I selected a pet friendly room when booking, I was unsure if my pet would come. Turns out I did not bring my pet but was unable to switch at check in, totally fine but this room is not acceptable just because it is a pet room….

The front desk person wasn't the most friendly of individuals and seemed rather annoyed. The property was spread out and we were located way away from others which was a little odd, when there places closer to where you check in. The room was clean and comfy

The check in was a little complicated. A new person was being trained and the trainer was kind of rude to the trainee.. The room could use a good cleaning (tub) had hair in it that wasn’t from any of us.. the floors could use a sweep .. garbage bags that actually fit the garbage cans! But the beds were so comfortable! Also in the suites they need to figure out how to get the air conditioning to the other side of the room and not the room with the couch! (Bring your own fan). Overall the stay was good !

They charge 75.00 extra deposit when you check in and a 10.00 cleaning fee we stayed 2 nights they never cleaned so why 10.00 fee ? Hotel has potential but needs to be cleaned up a lot the hot tub was and indoor pool was very cold . The grounds are pretty. Check in guy was kinda just cold .

Once was enough
3 night stay. Forced to pay 10 dollars for room service that never came. The first day i met the young lady at the laundry and replaced towels...... Next 2 nights nothing was done. The gentleman at the front desk and the afore mentioned lady were extremely nice but that doesnt offset the run down conditions of the entire property. Booking was turned down but was offered a rebook at a higher price. Hope I'm wrong but feels like a shady operation top to bottom. Room was fairly clean and beds comfortable.

Reggie was not very welcoming when we arrived. We waited close to 10 minutes for anyone to check us in, there was no one except others waiting to be checked in in the office. There was a large water stain in the ceiling of our bathroom and the air conditioner didn’t cool off our room. We had to sleep without blankets in order to not sweat.

Lacking in the service and cleanliness
It needs updated but looks like they are trying to do it. I can get past that but I called as asked since I would not arrive by 8pm but closer to 8:30. Was told it was not an issue. When we arrived I waited at the desk for 20 minutes before anyone arrived to check me in. Then took forever to find the right reservation (booked a pet room). Didn’t even look at the service dog registration and charged the pet fee - whatever I paid it as it’s my dog. I was also aware of the $10 cleaning fee (ridiculous because it’s normally included) so paid it. But then an additional $75 held just incase of issues (I rechecked this is not stated in the agreement and still has not been released) so finally 40 minutes after arrival I can finally go to the room. I will give them credit the beds are in great shape but that all that is. The couch is in my daughters word a few decades past it’s usefulness. The floors were not clean and the toilet wobbled. The whole room smelled of dog (I know it’s a pet friendly room but the urine smell and dog hair was overwhelming) the separate living room/bed area would have been nice is the AC cooled the bed area so even keeping the ac low in the living area we would sweat all night in the bed area not fun in July. Since we were only there to sleep I let it go as I had already paid for it. Then go to check out and office is closed. Just a drop box - I prefer to have a record of check out and like when they at least seem to care about my stay.

We got there and ended up paying a lot more than the site said was due. Then all we smelled was sewage in the air. There was a huge trash bag beside the stairs sitting on the ground. One of the staff was yelling at a guy. A lot of cussing. We had our son with us. It looked like the sewer was standing on the ground. The toilet handle wasn't right for the toilet and we had to put it back in the hole to flush it.

The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The staff was very friendly. The room was nothing like the pictures on the web. It had paint coming off the walls. The floors were dirty. We showered and left. We will never book here again.

The room size and layout was perfect for our family however the room photos did not match the reservation photos when we booked it. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The desk clerk informed us that since we had a pet friendly room that they were different. Not a big deal but our room lacked maintenance. The bedding was good however the furniture was in poor condition. The toilet rocked back and forth, there was a wet spot on the tile near the wall by the fridge the entire time we were there and when we turned the A/C on the unit smelled like wet dog. We have stayed in the newly updated rooms in the past and did not experience these issues but we needed a dog friendly room for this trip. We would still stay again and hopefully the room conditions will be better next visit.

Pretty property with proximity to the Park
We enjoyed staying at the Tremont Lodge for our family trip to the Smoky Mountains. Although the property could use a little bit of work, the setting is lovely to walk around, with great proximity to the park. Our 2-bedroom cabin worked just fine for us, and there was a nice, warm indoor pool close by (there are also seasonal outdoor pools). The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Overall a very nice stay!

Room was ok,got charged 10.00 for a cleaning fee but the room wasn’t very clean to begin with,woke up at 3 am and it was cold but the heat wouldn’t come on,also wasn’t told about the 75.00 hold they sprang on me when I got there.

It was okay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The room had a fireplace (no wood though) and was very comfortable. Since it was the off season, the heat wasn’t on in the room. However once it was on it became very nice. We will definitely go back. Just be aware of a $75 deposit, even if you prepay.

They changed my booking from a king to double queen because i received too good of a deal on expedia...just so they could get a better rate on the king room. Completly unethical.

We love staying at the Tremont when we plan a short trip to Cades Cove. This trip was for our anniversary. When we checked in, we discovered our room had not been cleaned. The front desk clerk wasn’t especially apologetic, and initially said we could have a refund because it was the only room of that sort available. I had to ask if there was anyone available to clean it, he then called and told us it would be ready in half an hour. I would have liked to have been offered some sort of consolation for the inconvenience, but was thankful to still get to stay. We stayed in a king size room with a jacuzzi and The jacuzzi was wonderful. Will still stay again in the future, but so wish the staff seemed a little more friendly.

Thanksgiving Trip
Average motel at best. Older facility with minimal updates but in a great location to the GSMNP. Continental breakfast was pictured but not available. Never saw a room cleaning crew which was the only way to get fresh towels and coffee. Purchased instant coffee to use in the coffee maker and reused the same towels for days.
