## Emplacement

Known for its pleasant atmosphere, Toulouse is also a city of art and history with an important architectural and artistic heritage preserved over the centuries. Its historical centre is full of Renaissance mansions, testifying to the city's heyday during the pastel trade. Among the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in the city are the Hôtel d'Assézat, which today houses the Bemberg Foundation, a private museum with a collection of paintings, as well as the Hôtel de Bernuy, the Hôtel du Vieux-Raisin, and the Hôtel de Clary (or Hôtel de Pierre).
