Hotels for sleeping out of the cold

Bathtub and toilet were shared. The only amenity was gel for washing hands. Breakfast was listed as simple, but when I asked at the restaurant on the first floor (where jazz performances are held at night), I was told that there was something to order from the menu, which I did. Breakfast is served at 9:30 AM. It is true that I booked the room because it was cheap compared to the surrounding price quotes, but I still paid $145 per night. If I had known from the beginning, I would not have booked it. Is it the cost of the land since it is in a good location? I think the reception and cleaning staff work normally and the common restrooms and bathrooms are well cleaned. The rooms have double-paned windows, but it was November-December and cold was the response. I didn't notice that the heater in the room was set to 18 degrees Celsius at first, and shivered under a thin quilt. The next day I changed the setting to 26 degrees, which seemed to improve things somewhat. The rooms could do without cleaning, but it was a hassle to deal with when I needed new towels only. Overall, I would not use the hotel for overnight stays in the future. You can consider it impossible to work in the room when you are here on a business trip.

Good Hotel in Toronto

ダウンタウンの中心に位置しているため、地下鉄での移動や付近の飲食店が充実していた点が非常に良かった。ホテルの目の前の道を数分歩くとCNタワーを通りから見ることができる。THE REXの建物が通りの中でも目立っているので道に迷うことはない。ホテルの部屋については、清潔感は普通。アメニティのサービスは無し。バスタオル、フェイスタオルとドライヤーが設置されている。今回は2階のフロア(部屋番号は10X)を利用したが、共有のトイレが２つ、シャワールームが１つあった。他の利用客と時間が重なるリスクがあるため嫌な場合は専用バスルームの部屋を予約をするといい。共有スペースは清潔に保たれていたので良かった。フロントのスタッフは親切に対応してくれた。ホテルの建物と部屋にはカードキーを使用して入るためセキュリティの面も安心である。ホテルは階段しかないため重い荷物を持っていると部屋は運び込むのが少し困難だと感じた。コストパフォーマンスについては、近隣のハイクラスホテルよりは安く宿泊ができると考えると納得のいく価格である。しかし、共有バスルームの予約をするとホテルよりゲストハウスに近いサービスレベルのため価格が高いように感じる部分もある。個人的には、ホテルの立地のおかげで有意義な観光をすることが出来たので満足している。

I asked the person at the reception for the way to a shop, and he explained it very carefully with going out of the hotel with me upto the corner. The hotel building seems quite old, but the room I stayed in was OK (probably renovated). It was difficult to control the temperature of the shower. When I reserved the hotel, I thought the hotel may be noisy at night because it has a famous jazz club on the first floor, but it was closed before I went to the bed.

全てよかったです。いつでも笑顔で挨拶してくれるし、部屋にカードキーを置いたままドアをロックしてしまった時も、親切に対応してくれました。風呂トイレ共用の部屋に泊まりましたが、毎日しっかり清掃されていて清潔だったし、使用するタイミングが他の客と被ることも滅多になかったです。また、おそらく自分は一階のジャズ音楽が1番よく聞こえる部屋に泊まっていましたが、とくにうるさいとは感じず深夜には演奏も終わっていたので全く問題なかったです。次トロントに来る時も是非利用したいです。次は朝食もつけてみます。

低予算で快適

サンフランシスコへの出張で宿泊しました。ダウンタウンだと一泊3万円前後のホテルが多く予算的に合わなかったため、空港の近くのこちらに宿泊。部屋は広くて快適でした。

ニューヨークからの飛行機が遅れ、チェックインが真夜中を超えそうだったのでメッセージで連絡したところ、フロントはいなくなるけどBarのスタッフに伝えておくから大丈夫と連絡くれました。飛行機は遅れに遅れて、ホテルにたどり着いたのは夜中の1時半で、すでにBarの方も終わっている時間でしたが、何人かのスタッフが残っていてくれて気持ちよく対応してくれました。シャワーを浴びて寝るだけの宿泊で朝にはチェックアウトでしたが、荷物も預かってくれ、最後荷物を受け取るまで細かく対応してくれました。ほんの短時間でしたが、気持ちのよい滞在となりました。スタッフ皆さんには感謝です。

夜はうるさすぎ。

スタッフは親切だった。バス・トイレ付きの部屋で、バーの真上。演奏の音が響き過ぎて、かなりうるさかった。終わるのは、平日でも1時頃で、ゆっくりできず、つらかった。部屋は、まあまあ。ドライヤーを用意してくれていたのは良かった。ただし、部屋には何もないと思った方が良い。ティッシュもない。石鹸はあったが、シャンプーはボディーソープと一緒で良いものではなかった。シャワーの温度調整もしにくかった。wifiは、速くはないが接続に問題なかった。朝食は、トーストにコーヒーか紅茶が基本。言えばジュースももらえる。近くにラーメン屋や和食屋も多く、スーパーもある。ユニオン駅から徒歩15分くらいで、イートンセンターや中華街へも歩いて行けるので、場所は良かったと思う。トロントのホテルが高かったので、場所と価格、コメントを参考に決めたが、夜にゆっくりできないので、今後は利用しないと思う。

地下鉄Osgoode駅から徒歩3分の居心地のいいホテル

Osgoode駅から近くUnion駅から10分程度で歩けます。レストランなど充実しています。１階がジャズで有名なお店です。ファミリー的で居心地がよかったです。次回も利用しようと思います。

On a good note, Faye was nice to deal with. On Expedia, it claimed there was A.C. , but there was not. It was so hot and humid in Toronto. Stale air in unit. Only got 2 hours sleep. Tried opening windows but there were no screens. Brutal stay. Not recommended.

The rooms are older but well maintained. The Rex’s jazz bar is one of the better venue's that I’ve been in for small jazz shows. Great service, atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend it! I will stay here and enjoy the music again.

I liked that the check-in and check-out were very easy and very fast. The staff that assisted me were very friendly. I rented a room with its own bathroom and everything was clean. I didn't like that the windows weren't noise-proof so I could hear the cars passing by on the street. But in any case I recommend it, it is very central and good price.

Outdated. A small latch to lock the washroom door. Small 20' tv. Room was fairly clean with portable heater. Its ok for a roof over your head to sleep. Thats about it. The staff at the bar were friendly.

Staff very friendly. Noise in area at night was horrible with all the sirens and the 445 garbage truck emptying bins was horrible. Know they have no control over that but 2 nights and same thing. Alittle upset at how the shows go. We had gone to a ballgame in afternoon and returned around 710. Was going to have something to eat and enjoy a show. They would not let us in as they said show was about to end and the next one not starting til 830. We did not want to wait til 830 to eat so so went somewhere else. Should be some lenience for people staying there. Having been coming here for about 10 years now and love the location for getting around. Thanks.

The Rex has basic but adequate accommodation in a great location. I was in a very cosy single bed room with an en-suite just big enough for a shower, toilet and washbasin. Once I’d squeezed into the shower it worked fine. The rooms are above a busy jazz club so expect music til about 11 in the evening- they seem to have a regular rotation of bands (around 2 per evening) so you can always enjoy jazz (with a cover charge), a good selection of beers and basic but decent pub grub. Breakfast - consisting of coffee & toast - is included in the room price. The great selling point (apart from the reasonable prices) is the location: Queen Street is a hub of boutique shops, snack bars, and restaurants so there’s no shortage of places to eat right on your doorstep, to say nothing of handy cannabis shops. The CN Tower, Rogers Center, Aquarium, Lakeside areas, and Ferries to Toronto Islands are all within about a mile radius, and the Art Gallery of Ontario is much closer. So there are plenty of places you can stroll to- and Toronto is an easy waking city. Alternatively, Osgoode station is a couple of minutes walk away if you want to plug into the Metro network. A fancy hotel The Rex is not, a well priced place to crash in the heart of Toronto it definitely is

Rex Hotel is a perfect place to just set up and wander/explore the area. The location provides a convenient walk to central shopping/food/subway transportation. There's a drugstore right next to it as well if you need any necessities. It is located right above a dining spot/jazz club and it's a wonderful experience if you're winding down from the rest of your day. There is a shared bathroom, and the overall architecture is pretty dated (I had to push my door after I closed it on the inside to make sure it actually closed) but that is the only negative experience I had with this place.

Everything is walkable. We could save money for transportation. I would stay again.
