Cranley Garden Retreat with Fireplace & Pool

The Cranley! Separate air-conditioned dwelling with private courtyard and veranda overlooking a family pool. Rural views and garden areas to enjoy. Goats, ducks, and chickens add to the country experience. Polished floors and high ceilings with lots of natural light make this a quiet place to stay. Minutes to 'O'Donnell' Bakehouse and Wilsonton Shops & Hotel. Approx 8 kilometres to Toowoomba City (15 mins) to Grand Central in Margaret St.

The property is situated on almost 2 acres. It has 1 acre of gardens and lawn at the front that guests can access. We have two miniature goats, a few chickens, some ducks at times, a dog -Lily, and a Guinea pig that gives some extra interest to the property. The gardens are being developed and are enthusiastically enjoyed by visitors. It is a peaceful country setting with several different areas around the property where you can stop and relax.

We have a vegetable patch that guests are welcome to harvest and enjoy the produce while they are here. Please help yourself.

Beautiful garden retreat

We had a lovely stay at Cranley. The cottage was perfect for our needs and the surrounding gardens were beautiful and well maintained. We look forward to returning in swimming weather so we can enjoy the pool too!

Lovely relaxing stay

A tranquil retreat!

I booked the Cranley as a retreat space for my study (I’m writing up my PhD!) and it was the perfect spot! I really enjoyed the peace and quiet, the wonderful bird life and being able to use the pool - it was like my own little resort!

Wonderful base for a few days. Guest house located seperate to main reaidence surounded by beautiful gardens as well as goats, chickens and a pool!

Living with nature

Wonderful gardens and warm wood themed cottage. Very comfortable. HostHeather made us feel welcome. Everything provided and enjoyed cooking with vegetables and herbs from her garden.

Rested and recharged

Lovely property, it was a great escape from the big smoke, nice and quiet. I enjoyed meeting the goats, resident guinea pig and chooks,also roaming through the vege patch. Log burner was nice of an evening.

Perfect spot for a short family get together

We came from our West and our son and two grandkids came up from Brisbane. Lovely stay and the kids loved the goats & horses out back. Unfortunately, a bit cool to use the pool, everything you need is in this lovely little cottage. Thank you.

Perfect location and property

We absolutely loved our time at Cranley. The animals were a special part of the trip for us, as we all love animals. Our daughter spent so much time with the goats and chickens, and in the pool, too. We had many friendly visits from Lily the dog. The owners were lovely and friendly, and made the trip extra relaxing for us. Definitely made the right decision, and will be staying there again next time we head down that way. No complaints at all, exceeded our expectations in every way.

Charming Garden Cottage

Cranley Garden Retreat would suit a small family or a couple. The cottage itself is very private and has a spacious living area with fireplace, raked timber ceilings with feature beams and a polished timber floor. A highlight is the outdoor area with pool, flower and vegetable gardens and chickens, ducks and goats which give it a country feel. It would suit a short or longer stay.

We will be back, the kids loved it. We did not leave the property all weekend, as the kids wanted to be with the animals and play on the trampoline.

The place was perfect for what we needed. We had a 12 year old with us so all the animals were a major draw card. the owner also provides lots of staples from use in the kitchen and allows you to gather eggs from the chickens and vegies from their vegie garden. The fire place was also a big drawcard. The pool was very inviting as well but the weather is just a bit too cold in July to warrant a dip. I would definitely stay here again. Things to be aware of - there is not a proper oven so don't plan on cooking any big roasts or anything like that. They do have a plug in glass cooker that acts like an oven though. The water pressure in the shower is a little light on.

Wonderful!

We loved staying here! The place was very clean and has a lovely homey feel - there were tim tams and milk in the fridge on arrival ready for us to have a cup of tea, and toys and storybooks on the shelf which our son loved :) We all enjoyed exploring the gardens and property, patting the guinea pigs, watching the chooks and goats, picking mulberries off the tree and swimming in the pool! A perfect little getaway! Thank you! We will definitely be back :)

This house was absolutely stunning from the entry way all the way through to the garden's, pool, inside and out of the property. The verandah boasts a beautiful view of the area. It was very peaceful and relaxing. My 8 month old loved to watch the goats and the chickens, he also has his first swim ever in the pool. I experienced outstanding communication with the host and definitely intend to stay again.
