Great hotel

Our room was clean. And looked to have been painted recently. Room was on the small side for a US hotel. The decor was simple, but tasteful. The bed was reasonably comfortable pillows were plentiful but maybe a tad worn out. Negatives. The HVAC fan was extremely loud, it was like sleeping in a wind tunnel. Water pressure in the shower was weak. There were no vanity items and no wash cloths. Staff was friendly. Someone’s used in-room food cart was left in the hallway with their half eaten food for at least 10 hours. Elevators were often painfully slow. There was very limited comfortable seating in the lobby. Conveniently located in Downtown Chicago. Public Parking was available. I don’t think I’d choose to stay here again. Overall it was fine, nothing terribly wrong, it just didn’t wow me. I am not sure this was the best example of an Intercontinental property and I don’t think I’d choose to stay here again.
