Winter Mountain Getaway!

Cozy Tijeras mountain home - your perfect winter basecamp! 30 minutes to Sandia Peak ski area, and a little more than an hour to Santa Fe! Minutes to the Cibola National Forest trails, 45 minutes to Madrid's artsy charm, and the best green chili cheeseburger! (Mineshaft Tavern). 2 queen bedrooms, third room as reading/relaxation room. A warm living room with huge picture windows and breathtaking views throughout. Perfect winter base for skiers, snowboarders & Albuquerque explorers.

This is a true mountain home! You will reach the house via fully paved but winding road.
Winter driving tip:
When snow or ice is in the forecast, all -wheel (AWD) or 4WD is strongly recommended. The main road is plowed but the driveway is not.
Mountain storms/ or winter storms can occasionally knock out the grid power. No need to worry- our backup generator kicks in automatically within 10-15 seconds, restoring essential power.
Wildlife is active (deer, elk, bears) ; secure trash and don't leave food outside.
