The location is definitely the biggest plus. It really is only about a 3–6 minute walk to Bourbon Street, but keep in mind that once you reach Bourbon, it’s another 10–15 minute walk to get down to where most of the action is. So technically, yes, it’s close — they definitely know how to word that description. 😂 As far as the property itself, I would describe it as more of an Airbnb/guesthouse experience than a traditional hotel. If you’re looking for somewhere to shower, sleep, get dressed and head back out to enjoy New Orleans, it can definitely serve its purpose. If you’re looking for a polished hotel experience where you want to relax in the room and enjoy the amenities, I would probably choose somewhere else. The room did have a noticeable smell, although I understand that can come with older historic properties in New Orleans. Cleanliness could also use some attention. There were a few hairs around the tub and sink, which is something I personally notice immediately. Complimentary breakfast was very basic , think cereal, packaged items and boxed/prepared breakfast foods ,so I wouldn’t book specifically for the breakfast. Staff were very helpful and amazing. Overall, the location was convenient and we made the absolute best of our stay. It gave us somewhere to sleep, shower and head right back out, which worked for this trip. Just come with realistic expectations: this is more historic guesthouse/Airbnb vibes than traditional hotel vibes.
