「Everything was set on arrival. We had a nice stay in a very quiet neighbourhood. Maybe a bit to far if you would not have a car. The house could already do with an update. Especially the kitchen, or rather the equipment. The frying pan for example was really in a horrible state. Some people might like the electricity meter, but I found it a bit creepy, as if we were watched... Another item that clearly needs a change is the mattress. It was way to soft and we could feel the bottom of the bed....

「Das haus liegt sehr ruhig auf einem Bauernhof. So richtige ländliche idylle kommt aufgrund des steinbruchs direkt neben dem bauernhof aber nicht auf. Die lage ist sehr isoliert und zum nächsten supermarkt ist es schon ein Stück. Dafür hat man die meiste Zeit seine ruhe. Das haus war sauber geputzt. Nur der staubsauger, um selber zwischendrin mal sauber zu machen roch sehr muffelig und der staubbeutel war voll. Der ofen und der herd funktionieren mit gas. Bei uns hat der zünder nicht...

「This was our last stay in a journey through Scotland, and it was perfect. Warm, comfortable, and just a beautiful home. The countryside setting was close to towns to get food and explore the Northern Highlands, and still very private and quiet. Thank You!」

「Owner wasn’t expecting us for another day so house had not been cleaned nor linens changed. I called owner, read my booking confirmation, and they got someone out to house to do a quick clean and linen change about bed time. I have read prior reviews by dog owners and they loved it. But there were far too many dog hairs, stains & smells for us. Carpets, sofas, and chairs are filthy even after a thorough vacuuming. A minor point for me was that none of linen matched, not even 2 pillow cases...

「Fantastic stay at John O Groats. We had booked a double ensuite room which looked lovely. When we arrived the manager was waiting for us to ask if we would mind if they upgraded our room as the heating wasnt wasnt working. Obviously we didnt mind. Imagine our surprise when we were shown to our upgraded room. They had given us a three bedroomed, two bathroom lodge which was amazing. Warm, comfortable clean and pur luxury. We settled down by the logburner to watch the sea through the huge windows....

「Property was perfectly appointed with everything you would need. Bathrooms are spacious and nice big towels! Ocean view and great walks. We did two day trips and spent one day locally which worked out very well. I would definitely recommend this rental!」
