Hidden Piece of Heaven on Lake Limestone

Our little cabin has been a family jewel since 1983! Four generations have enjoyed the property over the years and now our grandchildren love it so much, they never want to leave! Since we've always had such wonderful family time here, we decided to share it with others when we aren't using it ourselves! We are 2 - 2 1/2 hours from Houston, Dallas, & Austin so we are a great place to meet in the middle for a lot of Texas families! This fabulous little cabin has 2 bedrooms with 2 custom designed bunk beds (queen on bottom & twin on top) in each room which sleep a total of 12 people. It has 2 full baths with both a shower and a tub, a large open kitchen completely stocked with everything you need, a living area with 3 comfy couches plus a TV/Stereo/DVD Player/Movie Library, and a dining table that seats 8 with additional seating at the island and game table for a total of 14. While the inside is very cozy, we prefer spending the majority of our time on the large tree shaded outside deck overlooking the lake. Sunsets are majestic from this location and at night, the patio lights throughout the property add a mystical ambiance to the evening. If you prefer sitting by a fire, we've got a large fire pit and a steady woodpile waiting to host the day's fishing tales, ghost stories, or even our favorite, popcorn and s'mores! During the day, guests can enjoy easy access to the water, sunbathing, or kayaking in the calm waters of our cove. The property is lined with trees on both sides, so you will feel as though you are the only people who know about this secret paradise. Having this much private space is a rare find at the lake!!!! Lake Limestone is famous for its great fishing, and a lot of it can be found a few yards in front of the dock! Fish species include large mouth bass, striped bass, crappie, brim, and catfish. Whatever your interest, from quiet relaxation with a good book and a glass of wine, to spending the day filled with activities on the water, this property will fill the need! We even have a play area for the kids! There is nothing better in this world than spending time with family/friends while making memories that will last a lifetime!

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:

Load and start the dishwasher

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

After stripping any used beds, place sheets on bedroom floor. Place all dirty towels on main bathroom floor. If they are wet, please place in tub.

Wash all dishes, clean out fridge, empty all trash cans, and put bagged trash in cans by main gate entrance. Cut off lights, close blinds, and make sure all doors are locked.

Make sure all kayaks are returned and secured to the front porch. Place paddles back on the hooks and return all items that were used in the storage box, back to the box.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

No loud music or noise after 10:00 pm as we do have neighbors and sound carries vary easily over the water.

Guests are expected to lightly clean. All dishes should be cleaned, food removed from refrigerator, and trash bagged. Housekeeping will do the rest.

Pets are allowed only if they are leashed while outside. Inside, please make sure they do not destroy anything or relieve themselves on the flooring.

TRULY Piece of Heaven!

The location and home were perfect. We caught fish off the dock, swam in the water, kayaked, and just relaxed. The home had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy. My kids are already asking when we can go back! It was a great weekend and I too hope to return soon!

Fabulous weekend

Our group was fishing a bass tournament on Linestone and we stayed at this place for a few nights. WOW, it’s setup so perfect for a large group and also for two groups that may want a little privacy. Very clean and homeowners are very nice and accommodating. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.

The Ultimate Escape

We visited Lake Limestone for my son’s fishing tournament and wanted a lake cabin to accommodate two families. I can’t begin to describe how perfect this cabin was. From the CDs to the VHS tapes, the board games and toys, our kids never thought about screen time! They stayed so busy just being kids, enjoying lake life, the beach, the dock, the large grassy yard! We loved everything about this cabin, and we can’t wait to come back!

The listing is very accurate and the reviews are spot on! I can tell you that I rate a rental on 2 things (besides location); cleanliness and the beds. This rental is clean and neat, but let’s face it, it’s never going to be “your house” clean. At least not for me. Still, no complaints! The beds were OUTSTANDING! We slept so good! I was a bit skeptical with them being bunks, but all the mattress(on bottom) were equally soft and comfy! I checked to make sure. We will definitely be back!
