Perfect for Crystal Mountain skiing and family evenings
The property is located in perfect proximity to the skiing resort and is very clean and well organized, and has truly everything needed for a wonderful winter get away
We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was perfect for our 2 families. Close to Crystal for skiing and down the road from the distillery. We would come again in the winter or summer.
Great location to visit Frankfort/and quite retreat
Family of 6 enjoyed the very clean and comfortable home. The river had a great swimming hole and current to cool off when needed. Owner provided every need for a comfortable/ safe stay. Loved the visit to the Iron Fish distillery as well. Thank you Holly.
This was a perfect location for our annual trip to the region. The property had a fire pit we used every evening. House furniture was very comfortable. Went fishing and ate at local restaurants. Perfect weekend with friends.
Our second time with Bill and Holly fishing their lovely Betsie Rver property! Fishing was good for Salmon here early October. Enjoyed the fires at night down at the river. Good time for myself, brother and son. Highly recommend Bills property here in Thompsonville!
Beautiful home located on the river. Close to Crystal Mountain was the perfect retreat for our family! Home had everything you needed, and the host went out of their way to make sure they answered any of our questions and made the check in process so easy. We got 12 inches of snow while there and the host made sure the driveway was plowed every day! Absolutely loved our stay and Look forward to staying there again.
Last week I spent weekend with my friends in this beautiful house I had great time and for me this is amazing place for relaxing by the river&fishing. that was my second time stay in this house. Hopefully we will rent this house again next year.
The listing pictures don't do this property justice! Well stocked, comfortable property with the feeling of seclusion but close to everything. The river access is better than expected and had salmon and trout waiting for us in the backyard.
The owner's communication was great, check in and check out were simple with no crazy chores to do before we left.
Can't recommend this place enough - it's the perfect base camp for Northern Michigan!
Loved the house and property! Well off the roadway. Very quiet with river (creek) below. Fire pit is a brief walk downstream. Doe and (2) fawns visited about every other day. Could have fished if we had brought the poles. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. No complaints.
My family and I have stayed in the Betsie River Dream House for two years in a row and we love it! The house is in the woods, but it's in a great location for a summer vacation. 15 mins to Beulah, 25ish mins to Frankfort & Elberta, 45 mins to Sleeping Bear Dunes and 45 mins to Traverse City. All of us also love the river flowing through the backyard and my kids love playing in the Betsie!
The house is a great, clean and recently renovated house. We've shared the house with a couple of other family members and it works so well to have two downstairs bedrooms and the larger upstairs bedroom. The screened in porch and sunroom are also great features that allow people to spread out throughout the house.
Thank you so much for another great stay, we hope to be back in the future!
One suggestion: Adding some hooks to the backs of doors in the bedrooms and bathrooms would be helpful, and make hanging towels easier.
The home was beautiful and our winter hike by the river was so peaceful, and it was conveniently close to Crystal Mountain for us to take a break from skiing. We will definitely stay here again!
A wonderful, peaceful cabin in the forest by the river. We had an absolutely lovely time. The house was very clean and has everything you need. Perfect vacation for any season.
Great location in proximity to Crystal Mountain Resort where colleagues and I attended a work event.Secluded and private setting along the river. Would be a great spot for those looking to enjoy nature, do some fishing or other outdoor activities.Spacious rental with 5 beds, 2 baths.
The house was very clean, the owner met us outside & explained all details. Listing says it sleeps 8, could only figure the 8th person would sleep on couch?Other than that it was wonderful stay. Everything else as described.
