"It was a beautiful room only drawback was 3rd floor being 82 &84 not as easy I think there were only a couple of rooms up there but worth it for such a lovely room. It was easy to park in street but would of preferred private car park but it was a nice quiet area, we didn’t use the bar but it looked nice if we’d been there longer I would of gone and sat in there, staff helped take our bags up to our room very helpful. 👍"

"Nice family-run small hotel. Old but renovated. Very friendly and helpful owners. Relaxed and casual atmosphere. Great view of the water from our room and from the bar/breafast room. Guests may need to walk up a few flights of stairs. Bathroom was small, but that is expected in these old hotels and guest houses. Room and bathroom were clean. Served an excellent breakfast, with interesting selections. Free parking. But note: your car GPS may (will) send in you circles trying to find the actual car park in front of the hotel. Fortunately, the owners send personalized instructions on finding the actual road to take."

"Fantastic area to stay, right on the river and with all ammenities. Very large and spacious and excellent communication with host. Property just very old and needs a bit of tlc but loved every minute and would definitely come back. Thank you."

"We had a wonderful stay at Dunoon. The cottage was as stated with everything you need to have a great holiday. Clean, good towels and plenty of storage in freezer and cupboards. If I could make one suggestion it would be to install some grap handles/rails to get in and out of the shower as the bath sides are relatively high and older people would struggle. Thanks a lot we will be back."

"I spent a full week at the Weatheroak Studio Annex while I explored the Cowal Peninsula by bus. The studio flat is small but perfect for a single person or a couple - it has everything you need for your stay: a TV and two armchairs, a small kitchenette, a comfortable double bed and a good shower in the en suite plus the use of the back garden of the main house - a big plus in sunny weather. The annex is tucked away in a very peaceful location down a lane off a side street in Dunoon - the town centre, bus stops and Bishop's Glen are all within an easy walking distance. The owner was very welcoming and checked to make sure I was okay as she was away visiting family for much of the week that I stayed. I enjoyed my stay at the annex and would definitely stay there again if returning to Dunoon so I'm happy to recommend this holiday accommodation to others looking for reasonably priced self-catering accommodation in Dunoon."
