"We stayed for a festive break and enjoyed lovely walking nearby & further afield. Property has been renovated and has some nice touches. Arriving on Xmas eve we anticipated being able to relax on arrival - however the house was cold so we put on the (underfloor) heating and went out for a local walk but it took 12/15hrs overnight to warm up. There is a woodburner but we were advised in advanced not to use it. The flue needs a bit of TLC. Unfortunately the house had not been cleaned and as this was our festive break we didn't take cleaning stuff & wasn’t going to embark on doing it although we swept floors and had to clean crockery/utensils ahead of using them. We took pictures of everything but have decided against sharing them on this feedback as this may have been a ‘one off’. Suffice to note, the entire house would’ve benefited from a good (deep) clean. In fairness the host, Kate, responded swiftly and refunded 50 as a gesture of goodwill which we accepted. Using the oven without oven gloves was a challenge! Previous guests commented about the road (A44) which the house sits directly on - it was exceptionally busy, day and night with very fast vehicles - noise and headlights adversely affected our sleep as both double bedrooms are at the front; windows would benefit from blinds to block out these lights. The suggestion that you can walk to the nearby visitors centre or cafe is ludicrous given the volume and speed of the traffic without a pavement."

"Excellent overall. Well equipped and plenty of space so you can get into a corner if you want, or need, to. Enjoyed our twins 40th birthday which gave us the ability to have 8 adults and 6 children aged from just over 1 to nearly 9 yrs old. Good memories !!"

"We enjoyed the family and friends getaway last 14-18 July 2025.Upon arrival we were welcome by Gareth and show us the farmhouse. Gareth is always happy to help us and answer all our inquiries. The hot tub is massive and you can listened to the music whilst looking at the stunning view.. Had a lot of room and temperature was nice. Enjoyed the pool room.Lots of outdoor spaces to chill and relax as well. Looking forward for the next holiday /accommodation. Highly recommended and it’s near to Devils bridge waterfalls and nature trail.Thank you again Gareth from Garstang, Preston and Brighouse guest."
