11 cabins! Hot tub! Family Reunion! Business Retreat! Sleeps 50+
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in Saint Charles, Idaho with a group of 45 (30 adults, 10 kids, 5 babies) and had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays, even without snow. The main cabin and surrounding cabins were clean, cozy, and warm. The long dining table was perfect for shared meals, games, and crafts — we brought a Christmas tree and made ornaments and snowflakes, which made it extra special. The kitchen was well stocked, and having two large fridges helped a lot with meals. We appreciated mini fridges, coffee makers, Pack & Plays, and TVs in each cabin, which made things easier for families. We enjoyed the game room, fire pit, nearby basketball court, and exploring in a side-by-side during “mud season.” The mountain and lake views were lovely. The Wi-Fi worked well after some initial troubleshooting, and we were able to stream football — including an epic Chicago Bears win! The managers were responsive and helpful whenever we had questions.A couple notes: the area is remote and rustic, so plan ahead. A few extra blankets would help on cold nights, and taller guests may prefer beds in the main cabin. We noticed dog droppings and a loose dog around the yard, which was tricky with lots of kids and trips between cabins.Overall, a great place to gather and make memories — we’d love to return in true winter or summer! Thanks to the management team being so responsive to any questions or concerns."
"This house has the bare bones of what you need for a nice stay in the area with a lot of people. We enjoyed our stay overall. There was plenty of space for our party of 11 and the kitchen was well stocked with an abundance of appliances and tools, which we appreciated. Generally, our stay and check out was pretty straightforward and unfussy, which we appreciated. We had a few snags: the code for check in didn’t work, there were no hair dryers, and one of the showers didn’t work. The hosts were incredibly responsive to solve any issues during our stay. We were very impressed with the effort they went through to help us, though they often seemed confused. The location is not secluded at all, so if you want that then this is not your spot. If you’re used to staying in short term rentals managed by professional hosts for business trips, our experience at this property did not meet that level of detail. This place could easily become its own destination with some tiny improvements, such as, better quality sheets (they’re very pilled and scratchy), a guide to the house itself or even the area, maintenance attention to the house, and some nice touches like an HDMI cord or space heaters for the downstairs in the winter."
"My family and I love the Bear Lake area, and we found Weldon’s property and it was perfect for a quick get away before Thanksgiving. The house, location, and property was perfect, organized, and comfortable. "
"Perfect layout, immaculately decorated. One couple and 2 adult sons fit just right. Great balcony to watch the sunrise come up over the lake. Highly recommended "
"The property exceeded expectations, was a very nice place and the location was perfect. Only 9 min to north beach about 10 min to the golf course and 20 to the heart of Garden City. Was a very nice stay and would very much stay there again."
Mini Cabins Lodge-Hot Tub! AC! Arcades! Air Hockey and Foosball!
10/10 Excellent
"Check-in flawless, with door code texted day before. Wi-Fi not great. Plenty of parking. Best stocked kitchen in any vacay rental I’ve ever been in. I would absolutely stay again provided the few changes I mentioned to the owner were made. I loved the open space idea. We were a group of 4 adults/4dogs. With all the 4-leggeds it was nice to have open kitchen/family room and lots of lawn outside to which to walk dogs and tether them. The lodge I suspect is meant to be a gathering place for families who stay in the smaller cabins in addition to the lodge itself. as there were tons of chairs, eating surfaces, plates, bowls, 2 fridges, 2 washing machines/dryers inside the lodge-much more than was necessary for those staying only in the lodge. The location to North Beach couldn’t be beat - 7 minutes. The location to dog-friendly beaches at Sage Springs and Mountain Fawn Day Use Area on East side of lake - 20 minutes (unless it’s a Saturday morning in the summer. Then you’re stuck in 15 more minutes of North Beach traffic. Location to Pickleville Playhouse-20 minutes. Word of caution: As kid-friendly as the upstairs bedroom and arcade loft may be, the only way to get up there is by a steep metal spiral staircase, slippery in socks, not suitable for Littles or those unstable on their feet. 3 of the 4 dogs were able to clamber up the spiral. And, the loft and upstairs bedroom get hot. An in-window air conditioner could solve the prob. Hose outside useful to clear sand."
"Overall good. A few suggestions. Towel rack in bathroom fell off the wall. Leave Instructions on how to operate air conditioner. Bathroom door was dirty. "
