Your rest, relaxation, privacy, and positive experience with nature is our ultimate goal.
Usually we will greet you for 3 mins upon arrival to give some area point outs, and answer any questions (text your estimated arrival time when able).
We are very responsive to texts (make sure you connect to the WiFi, not much cell signal here) and are usually available onsite for any questions (tours, animal interactions, guidance to property lines etc.).
Located just 5 miles south of The Dalles, Oregon . . . our charming neighborhood offers a perfect blend of rural tranquility and convenient proximity. Only 90 minutes from Portland, escape to a picturesque setting surrounded by 50-acre farms adorned with cherry orchards, grape vineyards, and expansive hayfields. Enjoy the serenity of a creek weaving through the landscape. Within 15 minutes, discover a quaint downtown with everything you need—groceries, coffee shops, pubs, and antique stores. Experience the best of both worlds at our doorstep.
Parking, Campsite, Barn, 50 Acres of Trails, Animal Pastures, Creek Area, GiftShop and Gardens are all available for exploration.
The Handsfull Farm "Duck Pond Oasis" Glampsite, located 10 feet from a natural spring fed duck pond includes a welcoming tent with a queen-size mattress with heated mattress covers, area heater, and floor fans. There are two chairs that merge together to form another twin bed suited for 1 child, but could accommodate 2 small children comfortably!
Enjoy amenities such as the fire-pit (most of the year - summer has a local fire ban), WiFi, lounge chairs, and private outdoor hot tub. Coffee, pots/pans/dishes, a propane cooktop (w/ cast iron grill) and a mini-fridge stocked w/ breakfast essentials (eggs, pancake mix, hot cocoa, etc) is provided. Guests can also enjoy fresh organic free-range eggs from our barn (provided in tent!). Your bathroom, shower, and tub are private and dedicated to you. All of this nestled amidst a working 50-acre farm with gardens and animals. Numerous "deer trails" for hiking in the woods, bird watching, or exploring wildlife.
Dedicated parking, and an available Tesla Wall Connector (Level 2) EV charger – works with Teslas, and other EVs (with adapter).
There is dedicated parking for the glampsite near the main house/shop. Town is quick car drive or bike ride away.
This is a working farm, there are many animals (both wild and farm friendly ones), we strive to keep things clean, orderly and peaceful, but always an adventure. Other properties on-site include: another glamping site called "Creek-side Retreat" and we also have "RV Stays at Handsfull Farm" (for parking RVs).
