Set against the historic town walls of Pembrokeshire’s Tenby, this seaside retreat is a place to escape to on South Wales’ fabulous coast. The traditional, pastel-painted cottage has been lovingly modernised to create a superb spot for four to stay, dog-friendly with the canine-welcoming South Beach less than 500 metres away. Spend time exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with far-flung trips and local sojourns, filling your days with walks along the coastal path, trips to local beaches, caves and coves and plenty of exciting boat trips from the harbour.
Whatever you get up to, this ever-cosy cottage awaits you with comfortable surroundings set across two floors. Wooden floorboards, ancient beams and bay windows are just some of the appealing features in the property’s living spaces and bedrooms, with a wonderful, enclosed courtyard out back for catching the last of the day’s sun. Put your feet up and experience endless relaxation in the ground floor lounge, a space laid out on two levels with a coal-effect electric fire adding a warm glow. The kitchen/diner is next door, and you’ll find the bathroom with a sumptuous slipper bath upstairs on the first floor next to two bedrooms.
Tenby’s four fantastic beaches are all accessible within effortless walking distance, with the closest just a few metres away and the furthest no more than half a mile. You’ll need to pass through the town’s eclectic streets, past pubs, seafood restaurants and café culture streets to reach the beaches. Admire the view of the town up on Castle Hill, spend time at the town’s art gallery and museum and visit the fascinating Tudor Merchant’s House (all less than 0.5 miles). Venturing out of town, move north along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to reach Saundersfoot (3 miles), an appealing village with another admirable beach, or head inland towards the popular Manor Wildlife Park (3.5 miles).
