As always, everything was fine-very clean, kitchen well supplied with all you’d want, lovely terrace. It’s our third stay here so I guess that says it all.

Tavira typical traditional village style house

The house was clean & quaint, with shutters and tiled and wooden floors but all the modern amenities e.g. fridge washing mashing dishwasher etc. it was in such a great central location, near to everything.Our host was easily contactable and kind enough to leave some provisions to start off our holiday.I had a month there and plan to go back so that says it all.

Very central

Very close to everything: train station, bus station, farmers market, restaurants, walking trail, churches to visit, library… Central and also very quiet and safe area. Communication with Emilia was very easy. She came to get us at the airport even if it was early in the morning and made a tour of the city to help us see where the services are.

Tavira stay

It was the second time we stayed in this “typical Tavira home for one month. That should say it all! It’s like coming back home. We like the house, its convenient location in the old town near market and shopping and ferry to the beach. Emília always responded very quickly to any of our queries.

Wonderful Tavira Home

Emilia was very easy to communicate with and we enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely patio deck overlooking traditional homes and very quiet location. Fully equipped kitchen. 2 bedrooms. One upstairs queen sized bed connected to patio and the other off the small living room with a well ventilated ceiling sky light. Very cozy.

Perfect week-long stay in Tavira!

Superb location, and wonderful apartment. So much attention to detail to make the stay comfortable: plenty of hooks and hangers, towels, blankets, pillows, and well-stocked kitchen. The upper balcony was delightful for morning coffee and evening wine. Loved being so close to the salt flats, market, river, restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again. Clothes washing machine and drying line worked great too.

Best winter: Tavira in a townhouse

Causy, nice for 2 persons when you stay for longer than a week. You are really a part of Tavira here. The host, Emilia is super and friendly. Good for us was the little patio behind the frontdoor: bikes and stuff had a good place there.

Lovely stay

We very much enjoyed our stay. The property is in an ideal position to walk to the main areas. There was also many useful items in the house which made our stay easier - cling film, foil, plasters, coffee, fiction books. We were staying during the heatwave, so air conditioning would have been very beneficial but there were plenty of fans. Our return flight was rescheduled at the last minute and Emilia was amazing and let us stay longer on our final day , which meant we had more or less another full day in Tavira. Which was just wonderful.

Uma casa Portuguese com certesa !!! Tavira est un village fantastique ! Et notre casa parfaite !

En plus d’une grande discrétion, ce que nous apprécions, notre hôte s’est très bien occupée de nous. Elle répond promptement. Nous avons eu un petit bris de notre lit et elle a offert de corriger la journée même, ce que nous avons refusé car n’étant pas nécessaire pour nous. Elle a laissé à notre disposition lait, fromage, pommes, kiwis et arachides à notre disposition pour notre arrivé. Ce fut très apprécié car nous n’avions absolument rien. La maison a tout ce qui est requis pour un séjour sans préoccupation. Savon, papier hygiénique, serviettes, vaisselle, séchoir à cheveux, ventilateur rotatif, etc. Merci à Emilia pour son accueil discret et efficace. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à 100 %.

Home away from Home in Tavira

Lovely, well- equipped and great location, I hope we will be able to come back! Especially love the roof-top terrace where we spent almost every morning and evening.

Authentical Charm in Superb Location!

Old world Charm with all the conveniences you might want in a very convenient location. Emilia was over the top in generosity & warmth in welcoming us to her very well appointed Casa. Very walkable location with a wonderful roof top terrace that allowed us to wonder Tavira by foot or just relax on the lovely patio. Would definitely recommend!

Tavira holiday

We stayed at Emilia’s house for 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The kitchen is well supplied , the beds are comfortable , when not out and about there is comfortable seating (which we have found in short supply on other places we have stayed and the terrace was wonderful. Although no air conditioning, the many windows provided ample air flow and we were always comfortable. It was very close to the daily market, ferry to the beach and the river waterfront. For us, the accommodations were the best we’ve had for our style of travel. Really, nothing negative to say.

Perfekter Urlaub

Das geräumige Haus von Emilia liegt zentral in Tavira; Restaurants, der Fähranleger und die Markthalle sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze in der Nähe des Hauses (und wir haben immer sofort einen gefunden). Die Dachterrasse des Hauses ist ein echtes Highlight; es gibt Liegen, Esstisch und Stühle sowie eine kleine Sitzecke (z.B. für den abendlichen Absacker ;-)) Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, Gewürze, Öl, Essig etc. sind ebenso vorhanden wie viel Geschirr und Besteck sowie z.B. eine elektrische Saftpresse für den frischen Orangensaft am Morgen. Toll ist auch, dass es neben den Handtüchern für das Bad auch welche für den Strand gab (dafür waren auch Sonnenschirm, Kinderspielzeug, Windschutz vorhanden); bei einer Anreise mit dem Flugzeug spart das ja schon etwas Platz... Emilia ist eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, mit der die Kommunikation im Vorfeld und auch vor Ort immer reibungslos funktionierte. Wir können sowohl den Ort als auch das Haus absolut empfehlen.
