"The hotel was probably one of the best I have stayed in and it's the staff that made it that special. From the moment we arrived, they took cafe of our ever needs. The breakfast was just exceptional. Fresh Vietnamese and international food every day, including live bars. They even made you any coffee you wanted every day. Special shout to Ame and Jessie who were at our beck and call every day. I've never met a more caring staff. The hotel arranged everything for you. I won't ever stay anywhere else when in Hoi An and you shouldn't as well. Jusg exceptional. Thank you Grand Sunrise Palace, we will miss you. "

"We stayed at Bel Marina Hoi An Resort and while there are some strong positives, there are also a few important concerns to be aware of. On the positive side, housekeeping was excellent—rooms were kept very clean and well maintained. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, which made a noticeable difference. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable, and the spa was very good and reasonably priced. Food from the pool and room service was acceptable, though not particularly memorable. However, there are several downsides. Breakfast was disappointing, with very oily options and limited healthy choices. Even basic items like Vietnamese coffee had to be specially requested without sugar, which was surprising. The room design is also problematic. The bed is placed high on a platform with a relatively low mattress, making it awkward to get in and out. The pool area has similar design issues—the edges are sloped and extremely slippery, and the stairs are short and also very slippery. This felt quite dangerous, and despite being careful and holding on, I actually hurt myself twice. The biggest issue, however, is the noise. There is very poor sound insulation, with constant beeping from the street and noise from the pool area continuing until around 10pm. As a result, getting a good night’s sleep was difficult. Overall, between the noise, average-to-low food quality, and facilities that increase the risk of injury, this is unfortunatel"

"Fantastic Staff, great private and shared pools, okay gym. Our villa was lovely although some of the decor was a bit tired and the fridge was not cold at all. It might as well have just been a cupboard. Breakfast was good. Overall value for money was really good."

"The Hoi An Historic was a beautiful resort-like property with a lovely pool area with lots of loungers. The breakfast was expansive and it was nice to be able to choose between indoor or outdoor dining. The staff was always so friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent for walking to many sites and the old quarter. We were extremely pleased with our choice to stay here. "

"This is a huge five star hotel with a beautiful ambiance, however the service does not match the five star rating at all. Our rooms were beautiful with a picturesque ocean view. As expected, it was clean and comfortable. However, in a hot place like Hoi An, not providing unlimited water is not acceptable when even 3 star hotels do this. Coming to the breakfast, the spread is huge with very limited vegetarian and vegan options. Nothing is labeled either. However. The chefs made vegan food for us on request. But it would be really helpful to mention which dishes are vegetarian/vegan. This is the least the hotel can do when they charge so much for breakfast!!! The most disappointing part of this Hotel is that the staff lacks training. Even when we paid for the breakfast upfront, they took a lot of time for the restaurant to check from the reception if the payment was made or not. Further, some staff provided us with wrong information on the prices. This is very inefficient and not expected from a five star hotel. Also, for a five star hotel, the bathroom lacked basic amenities such as bidets which almost all the other hotels have. Overall, the hotel is beautiful and luxurious. However, for the same price I have stayed in much better hotels in Vietnam. I only recommend this property for the ocean view rooms and nothing else. "
