Pet-friendly, cozy 2,400 sq foot home with open concept kitchen, dining, and living room with a well equipped kitchen for you foodie lovers, a washer and dryer, a wood burning stove, and central heating and air. Amenities include Dish Network, Free WiFi, Smart TV's, 2 king beds, 1 full bed, and a day bed with trundle, 2 full baths and 1 half bath.
Outside features a spacious screened in porch over looking Ocklawaha Creek, with 2 kayaks for adventures, dockside access to a popular swimming and water skiing spot on the lake, a large dock with 2 boat slips, outdoor gas grill, picnic area, a cleaning station for fish and two outdoor sinks. There is a public boat launch just minutes away.

2025 Fourth of July Holiday on the Lake

A small family group joined us from Newberry to celebrate the 4th on the lake. We had a very relaxing weekend. The accommodations were nice and comfortable. The fireworks on the lake were fantastic. Neighbors were quite friendly.

Great place for sibling reunion

6 seniors found this place to be perfect for 4 days of sharing old memories and making new ones. All of the rooms are spacious, doorways wide enough for wheelchair, kitchen more than adequately equipped for food prep, and neighborhood quiet for sleeping. Loved the gorgeous sunsets too

What an amazing property right on the water! Everything exceeded expectations, from the property, to the owners, to the scenery, all were beyond what we could have imagined. We will definitely be staying again on our next trip into Quincy!

Relax to the max

What a great place. So relaxing and comfortable. There are no boat rentals on the lake but we had fun fishing off the dock. Would definitely go back.

New Year Get together

A great time enjoyed by all. Plenty of room for 3 different couples, two young grandsons and a small dog. The outdoor firepit was a big hit as well as the screened in porch where silly Santa gifts were exchanged and a large dining table to host a gingerbread house design & decorate competition. Best VRBO yet in our opinion!

Plenty of room

Lots of parking, lots of room. Caught some huge catfish. Screen porch with fans and lights a nuce touch in 90+ degree weather. Lots of outside spaces also.

Great space and views

Our family of six adults really enjoyed all the space we had to spread out. The kitchen is large and the dining area is Lars also. The kitchen could use a little updating and I gave the host a couple of suggestions for things that might need to be fixed….. overall we would definitely return.

Great Family Lake House

From beginning to end, it was fabulous. The home and pics are just as described. Comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. Fishing, kayaking, and relaxing on the porch. Melanie was quick to respond each time I had to reach out, as well as always helpful. Our family will definitely return. We are already liking forward to it next visit.

Great Home Away from Home

My husband and I and other couple had a very nice stay at your rental home. It is spacious and the rooms are laid out nicely. The kitchen was great as far as space was concerned. The cabinets and drawers need to be purged of pots, pans, oven mitts, etc. that aren't usable. All in all, it is a wonderful place to stay. It's close to Walmart in Quincy and a fairly short drive to Tallahassee. Will rent again.

Peaceful and restful

The home is beautiful. Lots of seating for a large family inside and out. Plenty of space for playing games and lots of quite places for reading. Love the kitchen every pot and pan you could ever want. The dock and fire pit were wonderful. Cannot wait to visit again. The owners reached out and let us know they are only 15 minutes away if we needed anything. Loved our mini vacation and loved it is only 30 minutes from Tallahassee. Thank you so much for sharing your Lakefront home with us.

Lake house

Overall this was a terrific stay! The only reason that I cannot give it a 5 star rating is that the dishwasher was broken. That makes it tough over Thanksgiving weekend and for the duration of my stay. Melanie did communicate the situation just prior to my check in. The communication was terrific. Other than that it was quite pleasant.

Family get together

Our extended family of 8 enjoyed our few days together at this relaxing home on Lake Talquin. My first impression upon entering was a welcoming, homey feeling. There were nice extra touches that make you smile - coffee supplies, a bottle of wine, luxurious bedding, toiletries & towels. We cooked & ate & laughed and enjoyed the screen porch overlooking the lake. Coffee each morning in the swing, lakeside. The grands played outdoors all day, swimming, kayaking and yard games. We had plenty of sleeping space and room to hang out with each other. I loved the well equipped kitchen & large living space. The pictures & descriptions don’t do this lovely space justice. We hope to return again soon! Thank you for sharing this wonderful, relaxing home with us.

Location, Location, Location

This review is concerning the issue of wheelchair accessibility only, which is important to me since I am disabled and either wheelchair bound or walk with a walker. If you've read the other reviews, you know that this place does indeed consist of a nice house sitting on an incredible lake with lots to do. However, in two locations in their description the owners say that their place is "wheelchair accessible". One location states: "Wheelchair accessible, Front entrance to house has a 2 inch max lip to entrance door." First of all, there is indeed a 2 inch max lip from the front stoop to the front entrance to house; however, there is a 6 inch step-up from the ground to the front stoop, neither of which are "wheelchair accessible." Second, there is no bathroom shower or tub which could be considered "wheelchair accessible". Third, the beautiful screened-in porch is five steps above the house level, which is prohibitive for someone in a wheelchair. This is a beautiful property, please don't diminish it by overstating its Amenities, which is critical to a disabled person. We asked you to change your advertisement, but apparently you did not.
