"The house is well maintained and is big enough to accommodate a big multigeneration family. We spend 5 days and were very pleased with our experience: house is in a nice area with good view, friendly neighbors and clean environment. House has two gas fireplaces that were keeping us warm even during the power outage. ( not the owner’s responsibility, it was area wide outage). Street cleaning can temporary build up a pile of snow near street exit, but there is an independent snow cleaning service that moves snow away from the driveway. Garage fits comfortably two SUVs, and there is parking in front of the garage, the driveway is not steep and easy to park on. House has plenty of toiletry and supplies, full set of dishes and kitchen supplies, big Bosh refrigerator the gas stove that can be used even if power is out. We enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to renting this place again for our family trips. "

"Hale Mauka is as wonderful for a families as all the reviews suggest. With three teenage sons between our two families, my brother's and my family had a memorable Christmas with several feet of snow, lots of good food that was easy to prepare in the well-equipped kitchen, and many hours of board games played on the nice big dining room table. Ed and Bernadette were kind and responsive hosts. I also appreciated the details that made it all work well - ample soft towels, lots of lanterns and a wood burning stove to make it through the power outage comfortably in the big snow storm, a great house layout for two families with room for separate and together time. "

"Two families with a 35 year history of renting properties for Thanksgiving. Now in our 2nd generation, this property was ideal. Great for walks. Spacious yet multiple room options so everybody could do what they wanted. Loved the jacuzzi."

"We were very happy with the house, location, cleanliness. The WiFi was a problem for a day or so but I think it was the community. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would have made it more comfortable at night. I would definitely recommend and go back!"
