I enjoyed my stay at la Quinta inn. I have stayed in other locations and I had bad experiences. I was hesitant to stay but I am glad to know this experience went above and beyond. I shall be staying here again when I visit Tacoma.

The bed was so uncomfortable, we are both still sore two days later. There were doors being slammed constantly until almost 2am and people running up and down the hall talking loud and laughing which made it impossible to sleep. The phone didn't work in the room (had reported that upon check in, but were told there was no maintenance on the weekend so it couldn't be fixed/replaced). We had a great view of a small homeless camp just on the other side of the parking lot. Part of the reason we picked this hotel was due to the free breakfast, however the sausage, eggs and potatoes were not kept warm in the warmers and items were not refilled in a timely manner. The cranberry juice tasted like water due to it being so watered down. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. The area did have a lot of opportunities for shopping and restaurants, which was attractive.

We got to breakfast 15 minutes before closing and there was no more food! Also, kids playing tag in the hallway in the middle of the night! Very noisy!

The hotel appears to be an older property that has been remodeled in the last 5 years. We were greeted by a locked front door after 8 pm, so you had to call the front desk to enter. Our room was a studio suite with flickering ceiling lights a less than fully operation shower head that caused water to run all over the bathroom floor. No cable on the TV and had to rely on free Pluto TV broadcast. We paid over $200 a night for a 2 star hotel. Upon checkout the hotel tried to charge me directly even after I had prepaid with Expedia. Luckily I has for a receipt during checkout.

We arrived a little early and they were able to get us a room right away, which was nice. The breakfast was pretty good each morning. Location was nice for shopping and super convenient. Parking wasn’t the best, small area so if you aren’t back to the hotel early you’ll be parking down the street and walking

It wasnt as clean as one would expect for your properties. The grounds were not maintained. Our shower was so slippery because it was slimy feeling. The tv and remote did not work together. The continental breakfast was awful.

We rented an ADA Handicap room. First of all the ADA rooms were a considerable distance from the elevator. For people with mobility challenges, this is unacceptable. Entry into and exit from the room in a wheelchair was extremely difficult. All of the rooms we looked at for ADA access had the same door situations. I would rate the room a 4 out of 10 for ADA accessibility. The counters and mirrors were such that from a sitting position in a wheelchair they were unusable. Overall, we will not rent these rooms again.

I was double charged for my stay and haven't been refunded yet. If the refund happens then things will be ok. This is the second time this has occurred here. The first time the fixed it immediately this time not.

Mixed? But resolved.
Always stay here. Always happy but this time the card key didn’t work to begin with, then when I got in the room the heater wouldn’t work. Finally, 20 minutes after first checking in I was in a room where everything was good and in working order.
