Parking extremely difficult as busy with restaurant and the locals. Restaurants/shops nearby are delicious and very cheap in comparison to down in Como. Views are beautiful and the accommodation itself if nice. "

"Very happy with Icon. Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it! "

You could hear a lot outside during the stay but it did not bother us unlike the last night. "We loved the hotel, it was far enough from the hustle and bustle but still very walkable. The beaches are right outside the doors of the hotel, there was a bunch of restaurants outside the hotel doors as well. The rooftop lounge was wonderful and there is a car rental that was so much fun to drive around. It's like a Vespa meets a Fiat. We had a wonderful stay and would do it all over again!"

"The USP of this property is the amazing view down to Lago di Lugano across into Switzerland. There is also the interesting story about the old funicular railway to the rear of the hotel which closed in 1977 but may be refurbished and reinstated if funds can be secured. It is a rural location, about 20 mins walk from the nearby town of Lanzo d'Intelvi and the bus service from Como drops you about 400m from the hotel reception if you aren't driving. Rooms were not air conditioned but you do get a oscillating fan! Get a room with a view and you won't be disappointed "
