Ideally situated in the heart of Ortigia, a minute’s walk from the sea, this practical apartment comfortably sleeps four guests and makes the ideal base to explore this historic island and the nearby Sicilian mainland.

The open-plan living space incorporates a dining area and a small kitchenette. This area is furnished with a smart flat-screen TV, a comfortable sofa, a sideboard and a dining table with four chairs. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a cooker hob, oven, a Dolcegusto coffee machine, microwave and fridge freezer.

Location:

Located off the coast of Syracuse in Sicily, the small island of Ortigia is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is known for its beautiful historic center. The island is connected to the mainland by three bridges and is home to many excellent restaurants and cafes, where you can enjoy traditional Sicilian cuisine and sample some of the region\'s best wines.

For visitors in search of the sea and there is a small cove called Cala Rossa located a 9-minute walk away from the accommodation on the eastern side of the Island. This is a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. The water is crystal clear and there are several rocks where you can lay out a towel and soak up the sun.

There is also a popular sandy beach located about 15 minutes away by car - Spiaggia di Arenella. The beach is well-equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas and beach bars.

The closest airport to the accommodation is Catania Fontanarossa Airport which is approximately a 50-minute drive away.
