I stayed at 202 Elizabeth several times during an extended trip in Australia. The rooms are nice, especially the ones with the large balcony. The staff is outstanding! Friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The included breakfast and coffee were an added bonus. I highly recommend 202 Elizabeth for anyone needing to be around Surry Hills.

Likes: The property was easy to find, clean, suitably appointed rooms, and was in a good area with plenty of dining options around. Dislikes: We had asked about parking options at the time of reservation and were advised there are provisions for $49/day which we were happy to pay. The morning of our stay we called to confirm the location and were advised there is a Wilson carpark on Goulburn St. where we should park. We arrived to Sydney and tried to locate this Wilson carpark for 20-25 mins but could not find it. We called the reception again and were told "I can't help you, everyone else is able to find it rather easily, try to look again" and so we decided to just park in the Secure car park which was nearby as we were now running late for our show. At checkout we came to know that t was indeed the Secure carpark where we should have parked all along!

Our check-in process and reception was by far one of the best we have had, Lach did an excellent job welcoming, explaining and giving all the tips and tricks with charisma and professionalism. We travel a lot and his job was extraordinarily well done. The place looks well decorated, the area is walkable to light rail (tram), trains and touristic areas. The breakfast is rather simple, not bad but far from extraordinary. Cleaning can be better.

Lovely little spot in a super central location. It was easy walk or take the train/light rail all over Sydney, then come home to an incredibly quiet (thanks, soundproofing!), comfortable and well-designed space to rest and reset. The amazing coffee bar and simple but solid morning breakfast spread were the icing on the cake. Would absolutely stay again.

This is a great, well located hotel. Staff were excellent and accommodating. We wish there was some more room to lay our bags, and extra hangers to store our clothes. The shower needs some attention as we ended up with excess water on the floor each day which we found ourselves needing to mop up. It’s new so there is room to improve. The outlook from 403 looked towards the back of some shops so was not that attractive. Positives however is that it was very quiet. Surrounded by great cafes, wine bars, restaurants plus transport minutes away. Easy distance to walk into the city. Complementary breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, pastries was nice. Plus freshly made coffee / latte was enjoyed. We wish our room was bigger too. 403 was relatively small for two but we could see from the hotel map that there are larger rooms with balcony. Overall a nice, new, clean hotel with excellent amenities outside the door. Easy access to taxi / Uber also.

New Gem in Surry Hills
202 Elizabeth is a newer building and an amazing place to stay. Very close to central station, so easy to access from the train. It is also very close to everything in Surry Hills. The staff was lovely and super helpful. The rooms are well thought out, and they have everything you need (mini fridge, robe, tea, coffee, etc). We would book here again.

Hi Weidong,We assume you are relating to the scent associated with a newly built building. Unfortunately, that is not something we can control. We do use some lovely organic scents throughout the building, but as you explained to me in person, you are sensitive to the particular scent of a new building.

Beautiful new rooms with amazing service
Made a last minute booking for Friday and Saturday night after a week in the CBD for work. Made a request for a bath as I was sick with a head cold. The lady at reception was amazing and moved around rooms so that I could get a bath despite being booked out when I enquired. Wonderful hotel staff, really lovely to have a chat to. Always willing to do the most to help out. Got me almond milk for tea. Allowed me to check out an hour later as I wanted to grab some brunch! Stored my suitcases and popped my food in the fridge while I was out. The hotel itself if amazing, second time staying there. Rooms are great size. Huge bathroom with rain shower and deep soak bath. The king bed is super comfy. Lots of little free minibar snacks/drinks/tea. Plates/cups/kettle/mini fridge/glasses all provided. Loved going up to the rooftop to get some sun and relax on couches. Very secluded little area that’s private with lots of seating.

Fantastic location within an easy walk from central station. Room was very clean (albeit on the smaller side) and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Check in from the lady at reception was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Sydney.

Beautiful new rooms with incredible hotel staff
I absolutely loved my stay at Elizabeth 202. The hotel is gorgeous and recently renovated. Amazing checkin, iced tea on arrival, texts beforehand to confirm checkin time. Everything is brand new and the bed was super comfy. Bathroom has everything you’d need, hair dryer, big bath, huge shower with shampoo/condt. The room had a small fridge, desk and kettle. Went and bought takeaway dessert one night and Gabrielle got us cutlery and bowls. He was fantastic and made our stay amazing, super attentive and good conversations. Would stay again!!! ❤️
