The Hive - Yurt on Hobby Farm

  • Welcome to The Hive! This is the second unit on our hobby farm and a nature lovers paradise :) Gorgeous views and abundant wildlife both day and night. After parking near the main home you will take a very short (under 300ft) walk down the hill to the 24ft yurt. On the walk down stop and say hello to the farm animals. Inside the yurt you will have all the amenities to keep you entertained and cozy. Venture out to hike, kayak, shop, etc or just stay in with a good book ❤️

    *The yurt is entirely yours to enjoy. Equipped with a queen size bed as well as a queen size futon you'll have plenty of sleeping room to sprawl out or snuggle up. If extra space is needed we can provide a queen size air mattress as well. The rainfall shower with on demand hot water along with natural lighting feel incredibly luxurious! Sit on the deck and take it the surroundings possibly catching a glimpse of the deer residents or dozens of wild turkeys. Go out and explore on a sunny day or cozy up with a good book on a rainy afternoon. Ductless mini split heating/cooling system will keep you comfortable year round.

    *Guests are welcome to wander the property and say hi to the animals. If you would like to feed them let us know we are happy to provide feed. You can also give them safe snacks :) if you aren't sure what they can have just ask.

I can’t say enough about how cute and unique this Yurt is!! Very clean, on-demand hot water, shower…heck the whole bathroom is absolutely awesome, bed was super comfortable, atmosphere inside and outside are serene. Grandson and I made some great memories during our stay…”we hit the jackpot Nini” - his words!

I was travelling with my two dogs and this was the perfect, fun place to spend a couple nights while visiting family. I wondered how warm the yurt would be at night, but the split unit kept it perfectly comfortable. If its available next time I go to visit this part of my family I will definitely go again!

We loved our stay here! The yurt was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy! Walking around the property and visiting with the animals was the highlight of our stay. I wish we could have enjoyed this place longer! Highly recommend.

The Hive was truly a sanctuary. So peaceful; it was like a fairytale setting. The animals made us feel truly welcome as we brought chairs up to the animal area and they all came to investigate. The baby goats were hilarious! The yurt was meticulously equipped and had everything you could ask for! So many amazing varieties of coffee for a sunrise cup while watching the animals rise. The bed was comfortable and the shower was big and refreshing. A fridge was available for all of our cooler foods and the the rolling table was perfect for crudite and charcuterie. We came here to stay before heading to the Lost Sea Adventure the next day, but honestly we'd come back just for the yurt. The yurt is peaceful, romantic, quiet, and everything a getaway should be!

Perfect Hideaway

We loved staying on the property and in the yurt! Very clean and perfectly decorated for the experience. Equipped with everything needed for a “glamping” stay. Owners were very communicative and made check in and check out easy. Looking forward to staying at the Hive again!
