We stayed at Culver House for 3 nights. The location on Port Eynon beach is fantastic. From there we could explore everything the Gower has to offer. 1 bed apartment 7 was perfect for us. We had a great stay

Just what we expected

Culver House is definitely more of a managed self catering apartment than a traditional 'hotel', just in case anyone was expecting anything else!! Great location - literally yards from the dunes.

Perfect location. We stayed in Suite 8. Great sea views. The apartment was lovely and it was a real bonus it was ready a few hours early. Just a few yards to the beach!! The Ship Inn is really welcoming with great food. Also had fish and chips by the beach. Will definitely return.

A lovely little apartment, with all one needs for self catering included, absurdly close to the beach and the pub. I was in apartment 7. The apartment is actually quite a good size and could comfortably accommodate one or two people. There is a small, en-suite bathroom with shower (no bath) and a large sitting/dining room with small kitchen area. You can come and go as you please with the electronic key fob provided and literally paces from the building you are in the dunes and then on the beach. Paces in the other direction and you are outside the local pub (which doesn’t seem to be particularly noisy late in the evening). I have two tiny criticisms, probably both associated with being on the top floor of a three floor building. The water pressure in the shower was not great. Enough to have a functional shower but not very strong. And, on booking the apartment on Expedia, the only picture of a balcony that I saw was actually one of the balconies from the floor below, which are much bigger and have furniture on them. When I got there I discovered that, on the top floor, the balconies are much smaller and clearly only made for standing on, though I could have moved one of the dining room chairs out there if I’d wanted to. You couldn’t get a couple sitting out there though. I’m not-picking though. All-in-all a great place to base yourself for chilling on the beach or exploring the rest of the Gower Peninsula from.

Culver House is in such a perfect position for a few days away or even a week in the warmth. The apartments have all you need and were clean with fluffy towels. The wonderful part, you are just a few steps away from the dunes and beach and only a few steps away from the local pub. The owners are warm and welcoming. Just what we needed after being cooped up for so long!

Nice night away..

Booked to stay here for the night as it was near Rhossili Bay. Accommodation was lovely, as described & couldn't ask for anything more. Despite it being a "budget" room, there was nothing budget about it. Port Eynon itself is a lovely little village. The Ship Inn do good food & The Smugglers Bar has more of a beach feel to it, 80's tunes & cocktails. Would not hesitate to go back.

Great Place, Relaxing

Fantastic

Thank you SO much for such a wonderful stay! We were really impressed and loved every aspect of the place. We were welcomed and made to feel comfortable with clear instructions on how to contact the owner in an emergency. The apartment was well equipped and very stylish with lots of great extras, making our stay that bit more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning very soon!! Recommend to any couple looking for a quiet getaway.

Fabulous

Arrival was very easy; self check-in. Location fabulous, short stroll across the dunes to the sea which is stunning. We sadly had the side smaller apartment but as we were only there one night it didn't matter too much; such a comfy bed, comfy sofa area with decent sized telly, excellent cooking facilities. All you could need for a decent stay is there (except a hair dryer unless it was hidden well!). We will certainly return here for a decent stay and probably pay the extra to have a sea view apartment next time.

Great location, but could do better.

Location is excellent, opposite sand dunes and sea, within easy walking of a good pub, with excellent food, restaurant, coffee shop, and two fish and chip shops. However our accommodation was not what we would have expected. Poor standard of finish within both the kitchen and bathroom and poor cleaning (cobwebs). In need of an update, I would say.

Belle maison

Une étape agréable dans la péninsule de Gower. La maison est presque sur la plage ( et a vue sur mer en étage). Notre appartement était confo av un salon cuisine et une chambre. Tout le confort nécessaire et un hôte tres accueillant.

Great apartment close to the beach.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Culver House. The apartment is functional rather than luxurious, but has everything you need. Coffee, tea, milk, salt & pepper are provided free of charge. Fluffy towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. TVs in every bedroom and lounge. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Can recommend the Smugglers Inn for good food. It is walking distance from the apartment.
