Leaving a bad review sadly seemed to be the only weapon you had to damage our image - unfortunately you didn’t speak to the manager, you couldn’t see lack of hygiene, cockroaches, rats or smell anything terrible in the kitchen or anywhere else as you spent only 3 minutes in our reception. This is where you refused to pay NAD 300 (more or less 15 euros) for a key deposit, as any other guest, according to our cancellation policy – by the way disclosed in every booking channel we are listed in. We were extremely astonished by your angry and negative attitude having heard about your extreme reaction not only by the receptionist himself, but also from other guests. Not exactly what you expect from someone that claims he has traveled 75 countries. Anyway, as one of the owners of Salty Jackal, who has travelled more or less half of the countries you claimed you have travelled to, I personally suggest being kind and human when dealing with people and businesses around the world: you’re defaming not us a business that hires 12 international and national employees, hosts more than 150 travellers per month and has an exceptionally good rate on every channel, but you're also defaming the whole industry in Namibia. I guess you don’t know that all hospitality businesses in Namibia have to request a Certificate of Fitness and get inspected every year for it. You seem to have met our 2 adorable salty dogs, they have a house in the garden and are not allowed inside, just for your reference. But no surprises, you're not an animal person at all.I’ve been thinking for weeks if this fake review deserved any attention at all, difficult to say, but for sure we can’t and won't tolerate any dishonest, defaming and aggressive behaviour, neither online nor on our property.
