Sunnyvale Heritage Park Museum

This is a beautiful historic hotel. We stayed on a Sunday night and we’re disappointed to find out the Tonga room is not open Sunday through Wednesday however the wonderful lady that checked us in arranged for a private tour of the Tonga room. We also took advantage of the rooftop garden, enjoying a bottle of wine and charcuterie. The concierge’s recommended a perfect walking distance little boutique Italian restaurant. We were traveling with my 85-year-old mother who cannot walk very far so this restaurant was a gem. I will definitely stay at the Fairmont again and hopefully come Wednesday through Saturday to enjoy the Tonga room.

The room was very comfortable for 4 adults. I liked that the shower/toilet are was separate from the sink area. The breakfast was very good and well organized for seating. Lots of different items for different diets. The only thing I thought was not good was the price for a drink at the bar. A vodka tonic was $16! I don’t drink much so I just wanted a drink at the hotel by the fire and then head up to bed.
