"Had a phenomenal weekend celebrating my brothers engagement. House was plenty big enough to host 13 of us with a huge backyard and beds for everyone.Airconditioning worked very well too in what have otherwise been a very toasty few days. Would definitely stay here again"

"The property definitely needs some help, considering what is charged per night. The upstairs was so hot, it was unbearable. The AC did not help, so a window unit AC might be considered. The upstairs shower may not even exist, because virtually no water comes out of the shower head. The Gazebo was filthy; the pier was very rickety and in need of repair. All in all, the pictures don't match reality. "

"This rental made for the perfect group weekend getaway. From the great shuffleboard table to the vintage arcade games like NBA Jam, this place was on fire! The beautiful view of the wide river from the hot tub was so tranquil a member of our group asked what lake we were on. It’s the perfect distance from Madison and Chicago that you feel like you’ve truly gotten away, but close enough that lots of activities feel easily accessible. "Great location for visiting our son in Madison. The best part is the free breakfast, cooked to order, eggs, pancakes or french toast, includes saugsage or bacon and potatoes. Also have the regular stuff, yogurt, fruit, cereal, etc... We had great night sleep because the mattresses were high quality. The room was clean and perfect size with regular size frig and microwave. We will be back here when we visit again. A++++++"

"Every time we come to Madison we stay at this hotel. Perfect location and excellent service. My only complaint this time is that we requested service for the room on Sunday, left at noon, returned at around 8pm and room was not cleaned. This is the first time that had ever happened so I assume there was a miscommunication somewhere. Governors club level is definitely worth the extra cost. "
