It really is in the middle of everywhere. We went to different places every day and wasn’t much more than an hour drive. There was plenty to see close by also. There was plenty of room and we had 10 people and 2 dogs. We really enjoyed staying there for the week.

Excellent place to stay

The house is in a great location and was wonderful for a large family with children. We loved being able to walk to Fort Knox state park and the bridge look out. Bucksport is a cute little town and only about a 5 minute drive from the place. The house could use a little TLC but that wasn’t an issue for us with a group of kids.

It is a historic home and has some artifacts relating to its previous functions within the historical community. It is quirky but charming. The keys in the lock were difficult and sticky. More out door lighting or a reflector to help find the driveway/location would be great. It was well stocked with plenty of linens and kitchen items. Communication with host via platform was good.

Check-in was very easy. Kitchen and bathrooms were very good. Loved the porch overlooking the water. Rest of house in process of being updated. All bedrooms we used had comfortable mattresses. We had 2 small problems and the owner was right on top of them.
