I love this gorgeous community pub. The rooms are luxurious, the atmosphere is friendly, the breakfasts are delicious. I was attending a course at Gartmore House and it was a joyous walk each day. I also had to leave very early on the last day and not only did they leave me a breakfast out but also made me a pack lunch. So kind and thoughtful.

Lovely room, house, pub. Came during Xmas season which was delightful albeit cold. Would definitely recommend

This inn had great history and a great story. The staff was amazing and the inn was cozy and comfortable. We loved the fire in the pub. Really good food options. The room was larger than we expected and very comortable. On a 17-day trip this was our favorite place to stay!

A relaxing quiet hotel

Stopped off at the Black Bull on the way up to the Aberdeen ferry to Shetland. The hotel staff were most welcoming, our room was larger than expected and it felt very clean. Had a nice tasty bar meal - was nearly over faced by the huge size of my haddock but bravely managed it! Very quiet night’s sleep.

Comfortable and charming.

Comfortable room and bed which was king size. The breakfast was good and the service was friendly. Quaint community run hotel with a great history.

Beautiful quiet area, community run inn with buckets of charm and hospitality - we were made to feel very welcome. The room was refurbished to a high standard and was clean and very comfortable. No food is served on a Monday or Tuesday but we were given lots of local options and had a lovely meal at the faerie tree. Would highly recommend to all!

Our stay at the Black Bull was first class. However, the service from Hotels.com was appaling.

Gem of a hotel

Loved our stay here. Room was really nice and spacious. Clean with a excellent bathroom and shower. All of the staff were so friendly. Ate and drank here both nights and food was superb. Topped off with a lovely breakfast, great place.
