Lovely quiet, rural area. Fabulous forestry, rocky outcrops, scenery so green. Great for walking, cycling, exploring this part of northern Bavaria. Even though rural roads, superb, easy from A to B. Staff lovely in the hotel. Spoke good English for restricted German speakers. Comfort Room spacious and clean. Little terrace with outside seating. Great views. No sound issues from rooms next door or above (we were ground floor). Great shower! But no tea/coffee facilities in room. The usual wonderful buffet breakfast. Adequate evening meal but then chose to eat out in the evening for the other two nights; wanted to experience more. Didn’t use Spa or swimming pool; too much to do and see elsewhere in the vicinity to include in our three night stay.

Es fühlte sich wie ein Ferienlager an. Um zu unserem Zimmer zu kommen, dass in einem der Haus der Hotelanlage war, wäre es schön gewesen ein Angestellter hätte es uns gezeigt. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig aber nicht gemütlich. Ich würde es für eine Nacht nicht empfehlen. Außerdem fehlen Fahrradunterstellplätze.

Wir haben uns kurzfristig entschieden eine Nacht im Hotel zu verbringen. Wichtig war uns, dass es eine Sauna geben sollte. Das direkt am Hotel angeschlossene kleine Erlebnisbad, das man als Hotelgast am An- und Abreisetag, gratis, nutzen kann, bietet eine schöne Saunalandschaft mit mehreren Saunen, stündlichen Aufgüssen und freundlichem Personal. Frühstücksbuffet im Hotel war gut und von mehreren Marmeladen über Wurst- und Käseauswahl bis hin zu Joghurt und Müsli war alles da. Abendessen gab es bei uns in Buffet-Form, was auch absolut in Ordnung war. Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Ambiente im Restaurant und in der Bar ist schön, der Speisesaal ist ein wenig trist. Was Preis- Leistung angeht waren wir mit dem Hotel rundum zufrieden! Wir werden wieder kommen.

Nettes Personal, auch deutschsprachig. Unser Zimmer war sehr preiswert, die Einrichtung ziemlich alt und abgenutzt. Teppichboden und Bettgestell waren einfach nur unappetitlich und mit Dreckflecken übersät. An einem Abend wollten wir ein im Internet ausgeschriebenes Tellergericht essen, das es aus irgendwelchen Gründen nicht gab. Stattdessen sollten wir uns am Buffet bedienen und haben für ein nicht schmeckendes Essen 18,80 € bezahlt!!! Als wir beim Aus checken Mängel angesprochen haben, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir hätten eine andere Kategorie buchen können, PLUS oder KOMFORT. Wagners Hotel Steinwiesen werden wir nie wieder buchen.

Leider ein schlechter Aufenthalt

Beide Betten des Doppelbetts waren so durchgelegen, dass mir der Rücken schon nach der ersten Nacht weh tat. Die linke Matratze hatte riesige alte Urinflecken, die durch das Bettlaken durch schienen. Auch der Teppich war nicht sauber. Am schlimmsten jedoch war der Duschvorhang, der im untersten Bereich vollkommen verschimmelt war. Durch die Hellhörigkeit habe ich jede Nacht dem Fernseher der Zimmernachbarn gelauscht. Der Empfang ist nicht durchgehend besetzt, zu den Zeiten, zu denen ich abends zurück war, war niemand mehr da. Ich bin einen Tag früher abgereist, die Dame an der Rezeption schien sehr verwundert und ehrlich betrübt, jedoch glaube ich, dass bei solchen Hygienemängeln nicht nur dieses Zimmer betroffen ist.

Hotel ist soweit völlig in Ordnung. Zimmer für vier Personen OK, jedoch Möbel schon etwas abgenutzt. Pool drin und draußen sind gut. Doch leider gab es dort nur ab 14:00 Uhr die Möglichkeit etwas zu essen (Eis oder Pommes oder Nuggets). Zudem ist die Essensauswahl beim Frühstück sehr eintönig.

Für eine Nacht ausreichend. Hat bisschen was von Schullandheim. Zimmer sehr abgewohnt / veraltet . Fliegengitter wären an den Fenstern schön . Bad bräuchte eine Generalüberholung ( Schimmel ) Das Restaurant vorderer Bereich sehr modern eingerichtet wirkt sehr ansprechend. Das Personal Restaurant sehr nett am Abend. Frühstück gut und reichhaltig, aber ohne Service .

Das Zimmer war sehr schön und sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr nett, wenn auch etwas unorganisiert. Aber es war ja auch Hochsaison und das Haus war voll. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Einziger Makel war das Essen. Mir hat es leider überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Vieles war zu versalzen. Die Brötchen morgens waren immer zu jederzeit knochenhart und eher von der Sorte Tiefkühlkost (untypisch für den Frankenwald) Die Salate waren sehr versalzen. Sonst war alles gut. Danke

Gut gemeint, schlecht gemacht.

Das Hotel hat sehr freundliches Personal und eine ansprechendes Restaurant. Jedoch haben die Zimmer ihre besten Tage hinter sich. Abgesehen von einer Terrasse, welche sich ausschließlich durch ein Stück Bodenbeton und durchweg vertrockneten Pflanzen auszeichnet, lässt das viel zu kleine Bad ohne Warmwasser (defekt) sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Frühstück zeichnete sich durch ungenießbaren Filterkaffee, eiskaltes Rührei, Dosenobst und einer Auswahl an genau zwei Sorten Supermarkt Brötchen aus. Man hätte gewarnt sein müssen, wenn an der Rezeption ausschließlich verstaubte Plastikpflanzen stehen. Zur Ehrenrettung muss die schöne Saunalandschaft und das Bad genannt werden.

Schönes Hotel, super Lage, für einen Kurztrip ideal. Herrlich die Wälder in der Umgebung in Herbstfärbung. Sehr nettes Personal. Zimmer einfach aber völlig ausreichend. Super fint sted. Men rengæringen kunne have været bedre, der var en del spindelvæv. Restauranten lukkede kl 22, men kl 21 kunne vi ikke bestille mere. Ellers et rigtig hyggeligt og fint sted.
