Slips are convenient, safe - gas and diesel are available as well as fresh water. Cabins are clean and the AC super cold. It's the quieter side of the river, so to speak.. not quite as crowded and low key. There's a restaruant/bar onsite (not open Mon/Tue) which is nice if you'd like a drink. As of this writing (6/2026) you can see that there are still post-hurricane renovations going on, but still a great stay.
Very clean and nice place to stay. Very quiet at nice and excellent food at the restaurant and i mean excellent the blackend mahi mahi is off the chain, great cook
Beautifully rustic place with everything you could want for a quiet getaway. Cabins are well maintained and stocked with a refrigerator, microwave, dishes and pots and pans.
A binder with all the information you could possibly need is in the cabin and late check in was a breeze! I will definitely be back!!
I have not stayed at this marina since the hurricane and the property had been refurbished with new cabins versus the old hotel.
That said, the property is in a prime location for the river. The docks are in fantastic shape, The lodging options with the cabins are perfect in my opinion. You could tell the staff really care and from the start of check-in to the moment I left. Someone is always around to try to help you that says a lot given my recent trip was during the Fourth of July weekend one of their busiest days of the season.
I also enjoyed that when we were finished with our night and coming back to the marina to rest, the quiet hours are respected. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are cold and the docks are well maintained. You couldn’t ask for a better set up.
This is the second time we have stayed at Good Times Motel and Marina and we absolutely love it. The accommodations are excellent, the staff is friendly and very helpful. There is also a restaurant at the marina that will cook your catch. Our fish was fried to perfection.
Unusual property - individual cabins on trailer bases - but really nice. Spotlessly clean, well equiped pine cabins next to the water and boat dock. Good bar and food on the same property.
The cabin I stayed in was comfortable and clean and is Patty‘s room is a standard hotel room with a capacity to sleep up to six people. I enjoyed the front porch, although there’s not much of a view and the cabins are just arranged and located on the gravel parking lot of the property and in a functional way. I think most people come here for fishing and other outdoor activities and the location is super convenient for that. I recommend staying here.
The place was comfortable and cozy once settled in. All amenities working and very useful in the kitchen. TV was in a weird place, but at least there was one. Only thing that was really off was check-in as I had called to notify them that there would be a late check-in around six or 6:30 PM and I was told somebody would be there until seven and if we got there late, the key would be in the lock box. Well, we pulled up at 6:20 and nobody was there with a sign on the door saying sorry we’re closed. Thankfully they had told us about the key being in the lockbox because that’s where they put it. Otherwise, no real interaction with anybody at checkout was asked if my day was nice and if I’d be returning, and for those wondering, I definitely would be.
