Excellent stay! Would highly recommend. The hosts were very accommodating and very friendly. Everything about this B&B was a first class experience (room, hosts, breakfast). Would highly recommend!
Great visit - very accommodating! To my fellow sleepyheads who like to sleep in (and first time B&Bers like I), there was zero pressure to make it to breakfast. Would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting the area. Beds are very comfy! Although I did not partake, the morning meals smelled delicious too!
We loved everything about the beautiful place, what a mansion! It was a warm welcome by the owners. The room was amazingly huge and beautiful decorated. We slept like babies under the soft linen. We got a great tip for dining, so we could indulge with 3 course dining. Breakfast was made with a lot of love, we could request exactly what we wanted. 🤗
The owner was incredibly accommodating, letting us check in early since we had to get ready for a wedding and then making us breakfast at 4:30 am when we had to leave early.
Flerida was so welcoming and pleasant. We were staying one night to attend a wedding and she was nice to offer to take our picture before we left. She made us a wonderful breakfast as well. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything!
Planned a trip to Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame) and stayed here the night before. The owners were very friendly and my breakfast (pancakes) was delicious. The building is an older home which means it's a bit creaky and doesn't have all the modern touches you might find in a new build, but I found it very charming and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The rooms and bathroom were clean and I had more than enough pillows and towels. Loved staying here and would totally visit again if passing through!
Note: check out Half Acre if you are looking for a dinner spot!
The property and hostess were wonderful. I felt like we were treated like family and were made completely comfortable. Room 1, with its own bathroom, was comfortable and functional, although we had trouble with the television, which could use some instructions. As we were the only guests at the time, the ingredients were purchased and our breakfast made to order. Delicious with caring touches and presentation. The house is showing its character in age a little bit, but that simply adds to its beauty, which has been well-orchestrated by the owners. This is a lovely place to stay and was quite convenient for our needs. Thank you. Stay well.

Nestled in the left kidney of New York’s Catskill Mountains, the Queen of the Catskills Bed and Breakfast is a stark reminder that there is more to New York than art, culture, and fine dining. Hosts Steve and Sheila are just a touch more eager than necessary to greet guests upon arrival. The sterile design and Walmart decor underwhelms guests to the point of moderate disorientation.
This kidney stone of the Empire State offers guest coffee service compliments of a red Keurig likely purchased at a nearby estate sale. Coffee service includes one communal stirring spoon. A large coffee urn dispenses a tea drinker’s hot water, which is also frequently used to refill the Keurig.
Window-unit air conditioners provide a chilling daytime experience and nothing but forced air during humid summer nights. Guests fortunate enough to score the only room with a private bath will find towels conveniently placed across the hall. Hand towels and bathmats, though, are not counted among the coveted amenities.
Parking is free, convenient, and smack in front of the house with two tires on the grass.
Upon each return, be prepared to report to Steve about everything you did. Always lurking around some sparsely decorated corner, he displays an absurd interest in the daily activities of guests. A spotty Wi-Fi network creatively named “Linksys” recalls fond memories of the days of dial-up modems.
This short-term mountain abode is the perfect New York getaway. Quickly and quietly, get away.
A nice older home converted to a bed and breakfast. Shared bathroom could have been an issue, but we were the only guests that evening. Had a nice morning breakfast. The owners were very nice.
Such a friendly welcome from Michael. Cooked us breakfast each morning which was excellent. The house is old, so a bit creaky but our room was comfortable.
Flerida and Mike were great hosts at this B&B. Very friendly and made us feel right at home. Flerida's suggestions for lunch and dinner were spot on.
The grounds were well manicured and picturesque. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was huge with a tub and walk-in shower. This B&B is located in a quaint suburban town. The freshly prepared breakfast was outstanding.
This is definitely a place to return to again.
While visiting our friends in Stamford to see plays at The Michael Kudish Natural History Preserve, we stayed at The Queen of the Catskills. We were warmly welcomed by Flerida and Michael into their home. Our room was beautifully appointed, and we felt comfortable immediately. It was great to stay in such an historic building and to know it is being lovingly cared for. Breakfast was beyond delicious. As soon as I know the dates for next year's performance of Page to Stage at the Preserve, I will make our reservations. Can't wait to stay there again.
We had an amazing time! It was so relaxing. The fireplace, the ambiance was exactly what we were looking for. Flerida and Mike were excellent kind hosts. Her cooking was great!
