This beautiful detached chalet for a maximum of 6 people is located approx. 500 meters from the town of Turracherhöhe in Styria, right in the heart of the Nockberge, the natural border between Styria and Carinthia.

The chalet offers modern furnishings with a comfortable living room with a wood stove and a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 spacious bedrooms, 1 bathroom, terrace and balcony. You can park directly at the chalet (in winter you can leave your car, if there is enough snow there is a ski-in/ski-out option).

The Turracher Höhe is located 50 km northeast of Spittal an der Drau, at an altitude of 1763 m. On one side of the pass are the wild, green mountain panoramas of rural Styria, while on the other side, in Carinthia, you can enjoy the entertainment and warmth in the southern lake district of Austria. Excursions to Lake Millstättersee or Lake Ossiachersee are also among the options.

Turracher Höhe - a winter paradise from November to May with 43 kilometers of slopes and 15 cable cars and ski lifts, is one of the most diverse ski areas in the Southern Alps and one of the most snow-sure ski regions in Austria

Tolles Essen, schöne Lage, immer wieder gern!

Wir hatten in dem Ferienhaus eine super Zeit und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wir konnten mit allen Anliegen zur Fam. Pirchler gehen und uns wurde geholfen. Wir haben jeden Morgen frische Brötchen vor die Tür geliefert bekommen, konnten tolle Wanderungen in der Umgebung unternehmen und wurden abends mit einem sehr leckeren 4 Gang Menü verwöhnt. Den Abend konnten wir dann mit einem Kaminfeuer ausklingen lassen. Immer wieder gern!

Wir haben im August 2021 einen sehr erholsamen Aufenthalt in einem der separaten Häuser der Pension Alpenrose auf der Turacher Höhe verlebt. Einmal das Abendmenü in der 20m entfernten Pension genossen, waren wir dem Gaumenschmaus des Küchenchefs Peter verfallen und haben uns bis auf wenige Tage mit den köstlichen (österreichischen) Speisen verwöhnen lassen, die fast ausschließlich aus regionalen Produkten zubereitet waren. Die Speisen waren auch für das Auge eine wahre Wonne, man konnte nicht nur schmecken sondern auch sehen, dass Koch Peter, zusammen mit seiner Frau Susi (gleichzeitig die Pensionsinhaber) ihre Leidenschaft leben, um ihren Gästen mit viel Herz einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Für uns zu dritt mit unserem 17-jährigen Sohn war es eine prima Kombination, im separaten Häuschen mit zwei Schlafzimmern und Wohnküche zu wohnen und somit unabhängig vom Pensionsbetrieb zu sein und trotzdem wahlweise den Luxus der excellenten Küche (Frühstücksbuffet, Mittagskarte a la carte, Abendmenü) der Alpenrose direkt nebenan zu haben und all das in wunderschöner Landschaft. Für uns perfekt! Wir bedanken uns für Susis und Peters Herzlichkeit und einen rundum tollen Urlaub. Herzliche Grüße von den Gibrons

Een fijn vakantie gehad

Prima vakantiewoning. Het ligt naast Gasthof Alpenrose (eigenaars van het chalet) waar je prima kunt eten voor een redelijke prijs. Fijne gastvrije mensen. Lekker koel in de zomerop 1800 meter, en een prima uitvalsbasis voor bergwandelingen. Vanuit hier kun je de koelte opzoeken, of een tripje maken naar warmere dalen.

Aankomst is uitermate goed geregeld, fijn ontvangst, je voelt je meteen welkom. Huisje is erg schoon, ondanks dat er honden welkom zijn. Verder van alle gemakken voorzien. Dagelijks verse broodjes als je wenst aan de deur. Eigenaar kan erg lekker koken, vier gangen voor weinig geld en kwalitatief erg goed. Per dag kun je aangeven of je er gebruik van wilt maken, absoluut geen verplichting. Vanuit het huisje ben je binnen vijf minuten per auto in het dorpje, te voet zo 15 minuten, houd rekening dat de supermarkten verder liggen, ongeveer 20 minuten met de auto. Er zitten een paar goede,betaalbare, restaurant in het dorpje. Je kunt prachtig wandelen, erg mooie omgeving! Wij komen zeker nog eens terug.

Prima huis, dat voorzien is van alles dat je nodig hebt. De eerste week wandelingen vanuit het huisje gedaan. De tweede week steeds een stukje met de auto voor een wandeling. Susi Peter van Gasthof Alpenrose, (dat op 10 seconden loopafstand ligt) zijn hele vriendelijke mensen. We hebben genoten van de fantastische 4-gangen menu's die ons iedere avond voorgeschoteld werden. Peter is een geweldige kok. Iedere ochtend (op verzoek) verse broodjes in een zak aan de deur. We hadden twee honden bij ons, die zich hier ook prima vermaakt hebben. We komen zeker nog eens terug naar de Turracher höhe.

Super aardige ontvangst, was een erg schoon chalet. Wij waren met zijn vieren en een hond De WiFi werkte erg goed, dit vonden de kinderen wel fijn. (16 en 19 jaar) Het is een prachtige omgeving, was soms wel erg fris, maar binnen in het chalet was het lekker warm, je mocht ook de houtkachel stoken. En elke morgen stonden de verse broodjes buiten onder het afdak voor het ontbijt. (Als je ze besteld had)

Zeer geschikt voor 4 personen. Bij meer pp dient men gebruik te maken van de uitschuifbedden in de woonkamer. Verder een zeer knus doch ruim chaletje met houtkachel. Ideaal ook voor hondenbezitters. Gasthof is op 20 meter afstand. Voor verse broodjes en een tapbiertje. Of een zeer betaalbare maaltijd. Winkels zijn wel op grotere afstand.

Besitzer hat in direkter Nachbarschaft eine Pension, in der man ein tolles 4-Gang Menü für wenig Geld genießen kann. Der Chef kocht hervorragend. Der tägliche Brötchenservice ist auch Spitze. Kein echter Nachteil, aber man muss sich bewusst sein, dass die Höhenlage von über 1.800 m keine langen, lauen Sommerabende bieten kann.

Eigentümer betreiben 20m entfernt Pension+Gasthaus und sind ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstücksbuffet dort äusserst empfehlenswert, ebenso Abendessen. Gute Wanderregion mit Seilbahnen.
