Great Place to Stay in Curacao/Coral Estates
This was our first visit to Curacao and found the home on VRBO. Pictures cannot do it justice - the home was beautiful and well-furnished. We had all that we needed and more. We especially enjoyed the views and the private pool. The community has a beautiful shoreline that you can use for swimming, along with a restaurant, bar and the Bread Cafe that provides baked goods, sandwiches and pizza which made mealtime very easy. We shopped at Centrum and Carrefour for groceries - prices better at Centrum but Carrefour had some nicer options and an attached mall - nice when you wanted to be indoors mid-day. Despite the tropical climate, the house opened up to allow the breeze to blow through the house making it feel very comfortable. A/C helped to keep the bedrooms cool at night. We loved the location - a beautiful gated community with a short drive to most anything, from beautiful beaches to Willemstad. The only downsides were losing electricity and water repeatedly through the week due to construction nearby but thankfully, they were for short durations and more a nuisance than a problem. Note that fourth bedroom is on the lower level away with the others and is only accessible through outside stairway. This just requires keys when entering or leaving the living spaces. We travelled with three adult children and all enjoyed having their own space and bathroom. Overall, a very positive experience and we hope to visit again!

Stay March 16 to March 26, 2024
The house was very clean well stocked the beds were comfortable we did have a blipi during our stay which was of out of the control of the property. we were without power one night but the manager Monique was very good about getting back to us and recognizing that there was an issue as we had no AC fans or power for an entire night the power did come back on once Coral Estates rectified the situation the property manager Monique was very kind very helpful and explained everything that we needed in order to complete our stay I have one suggestion which I gave to Monique. the instructions for appliances are in Dutch , it would have been helpful to have them also in English should power outage occurred again and we need to reset the appliances etc. I would recommend this home to anyone it’s a bit small but for four people it was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for us should we ever go back to Curaçao we most definitely would consider staying at this home.Thank you Monique for your kindness and making us feel welcome . Loved Villa la Maya!
We were three couples staying for a week so the three kings en suites were perfect. And we had a spare queen en suite had a fourth couple joined us. The outdoor spare was perfect for us. Spacious with a nice mix of sun and shade and everyone in the group loved the pool. We didn’t require much but Monique was very accommodating. Met us at the villa for check in and gave us a thorough walk through. We all had late departure flights and, since no one else was checking in our last day, Monique had no problem with us staying later into the afternoon. We knew going in that there would be a charge for water and electricity at check out but it was very reasonable . About $100 USD total for 7 days. I highly recommend Villa la Maya as do the other 5 people in my group. Definitely hope to make a return trip.

Beautiful home, in a relaxing place
The home is very clean, well furnished, and has a wonderful view of the ocean to wake up to every day. The outdoor living space is great for drinking your morning coffee, reading a book, or just napping. The pool provides a good cool down. This home is in a secure neighborhood with security, and is not far from several great beaches. Monique is a wonderful person who makes every effort to give you a nice stay.

Curacao First Timers
We really enjoyed our stay even with unfortunately having to leave early due to a family illness back home. The pictures/descriptions of the property are accurate and would not hesitate to stay at La Maya 525 again. Bedrooms/Bath: As was mentioned by a previous guest, the beds are very comfortable - more of a firm top and great for the back... Dual sinks were a plus and shower water pressure / temp were fine. Kitchen: Everything you need is there. We didn't wind up doing much other than make sandwiches or toast some bagels but we did notice that all the utensils are there if need be. A modern look/feel as well. Pool/Gazebo: This is where we spent the most time as we loved the seating choices and the pool. Nice size pool with a max depth of 5' I believe. There is some bench seating in the NW corner of the pool as well. Location: We were looking for something in this central location as we figured we'd be traveling to the north to Playa Marie, Daibooi and Grote Knip or to Willemstad. The gated community was quiet and also has a security/guard station located at the entry to Coral Estates which we didn't know. You'll need to show ID and let them know where you are staying. The views looking over the ocean were fantastic, especially the sunsets. We also made it over to the Karakter Beach area for pizza and breakfast/coffee. Some really great baked goods.. We do plan to come back some day and visit the places we missed this time - hopefully La Maya 525 is available then.

Paradise
As advertised on Vrbo we enjoyed the house and the massive outside deck area with the pool and views. You want be disappointed if you stay here as Monique was there to make everything smooth and answer any questions we had Love the place and there is 3 different restaurants in the resort area that we ate at.

Home in Coral Estates
The property was perfectly located in the middle of the island and in a gated community. Several beaches perfect for snorkelling very near by. Home was exactly as represented on the website. Clean and comfortable. Property manager, Monique, was readily available, very friendly. Highly recommend this property.

Zeer nette villa, mooi zwembad met ligstoelen. Luxe keuken met grote koel/vrieskast met ijsblokjesdispenser. Goede bedden en alle slaapkamers met eigen badkamer. Ruim terras met een fantastisch uitzicht op zee. Echt een aanrader.
