  • Welcome to Heavens Gate Cabin, nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This beautiful rustic cabin offers 4BD / 4 BA and can comfortably accommodate 8 guest. The cabin is three levels and offers a large wood burning fireplace, TV and large handmade table for our guest to play board games and socialize​. A chef's Kitchen, an upstairs loft area and large game room. The covered Hot Tub, fire pit area and rear deck offers magnificent views of the mountains. Come make mountain memories!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Everything was as advertised! The home was very clean when we arrived and well stocked. The home itself is in a gated community which means local-only traffic and so it was nicely quiet. The home is situated almost at the end of a road with only one more home past it making it perfect for a quiet and secluded getaway. We very much enjoyed the hot tub! The property manager was easy to work with and helpful.

The mountain views are amazing and there are plenty of common areas to visit, play games and enjoy nature. Take a load off in the hot tub to help end the day off right

Thanksgiving trip

Our family took a vacation this year the week of Thanksgiving and it was one of our favorites! The house was beautiful, roomy, and the game room and jacuzzi were a hit! The neighborhood was fantastic. There is nothing bad I can say about our stay…except they need a new can opener 😉. Check in was a breeze and the property mangers were super fast with responses. Highly recommend!

Nice deck with fantastic views. House comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Good communication from vrbo and management staff. Really enjoyed our stay. Only complaint -- house could have been cleaner, especially master bathroom shower which had a a lot of mold on floor and lower walls.

Great views!

We loved our stay at heavens gate. The views were amazing! We had fun with the puzzles and games as well as the game room downstairs. The hot tub was so relaxing after long days exploring the area. The cabin had everything we needed and more, it was a very comfortable stay. Communication was easy, very responsive. The common areas in the development were awesome and we loved being able to hike right from the neighborhood. We had a lovely stay!

Good house to get away.

Awesome place to stay at if you want to get away. The hot tub off of the house is great especially at night when heavy fog is blowing through. You cant get bored with pool, ping pong, and foosball in the garage. It is away from the couple towns around but only like 25 minutes away. We went to Carrage House in Burnsville and the food there was amazing. Nothing plain or boring there and really the same for Live Oak Gastropub in Spruce Pine.

Great location with an amazing view.

We annually travel to Spruce Pine/Little Switzerland area to visit with the wife's family. Normally it is just she and I. This year we took all the kids and grandkids. Everyone enjoyed the cabin and there was plenty of room for everyone. Had to call property once due to a breaker being tripped and they immediately took care of it. Overall we had a great week long vacation and stay at the cabin.

Nice home, lovely view, well equipped kitchen

Overall, this home was furnished very nicely. Great kitchen and firepit and hot tub. We thought we would play pool and enjoy the game room, but ended up not having the time. The coffee maker wouldn't work, but the owners promptly had another one delivered to us. They were responsive when we reached out. The master bedroom was enormous with a huge unused space, which could be made much cozier with the use of bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the bed and next to the sofa. We like to read and ended up buying a lamp to read by at Walmart. I advise bringing your own soaps and shampoos in case there are none when you arrive. These are small things. As I said, the property itself is very nice and accommodating for a family, and the owners were very responsive when we needed help.

Overall a nice property with spacious floor plan and relatively well equipped. Remote location great for a get-away, but a bit of a hike to amenities and services (as we had expected). Missed some basic amenities like bath mats, hair dryer, side tables in primary living area, soaps and tissues which we would normally expect in a property like this. Hot tub was a nice plus and well maintained. And being charged a "Cleaning Fee" and then being required to remove all trash from the property at check out unless a "Tip" is paid to housekeeping was inappropriate. Based on perspective from renting over 100 VRBO properties over the last 20 years, all over the US and abroad, we felt that the communications from host management company here was excessive - poorly written, too often, too long, and with too much emphasis on penalities, restrictions, & limitations.

You can’t beat the views from the back deck, the end of the driveway and when exiting the community! The house had everything we needed and had lots of amenities to relax and entertain. We’d definitely stay here again!
