Charming two-bedroom self-catered cottage with steep staircase. Shared pool.
Rosier is a charming 2-bedroom self-catered cottage in an 18th-century stone building. On the ground floor, Rosier offers a rustic atmosphere with a fully equipped kitchen and a large fireplace with a wood-burning stove in a room furnished with comfortable country-style living and dining areas. The upper floor, reached by a short but steep staircase, features two bedrooms—one with a queen-size bed (140 cm) and the other with two twin beds (90 cm)—and a bathroom with shower. The private gate garden, facing south, includes a barbecue and a dining table.
The gate opens onto a private parking and an orchard. Just steps away, you’ll find a heated swimming pool, pétanque court, ping-pong table, and 40 hectares of forest.
The cottage also includes high-speed Wi-Fi, satellite television, electricity, and hot water.
Montboulard, a haven of peace and relaxation dominated by its stone tower and manor house, is less than a kilometer from a variety of shops: conventional and organic supermarkets, restaurants, gift shops, household goods, clothing, DIY stores, as well as automotive and personal care services. A ten-minute drive—or easily accessible by bus—brings you to the historic center of Angoulême, offering over forty restaurants, bars, and cafés, a covered market, a Romanesque cathedral, museums, shops, breathtaking views, and public artworks.
The Charente countryside is dotted with villages crowned by castles, Roman and prehistoric sites, and landscapes perfect for hiking and cycling. You can also visit world-renowned Cognac vineyards and distilleries, walnut groves, cheese producers, orchards, or deer, trout and truck farms.
Montboulard is equidistant from the Atlantic beaches and the destinations of the Dordogne, making day trips to La Rochelle, Royan, Bordeaux and its vineyards, Poitiers, Limoges, Sarlat, and Périgueux easy and convenient.
Outdoor activities for adults and children abound: kayaking, canoeing, climbing, river or lake swimming, zip-lining, cycling along the Charente, hiking, and horseback riding.
