ゴルフ場に併設されたホテルで、サウザンプトンから車で約39分、タクシーで£30程度。 ゴミゴミした街中より過ごしやすい環境。

The Hotel is advertised as Pet Friendly - this is why we selected it. It is not Pet Friendly. you tolerate pets. There is no facility to have breakfast with our pet as we have done at many other pet friendly hotels. We understand that some peoples dogs will behave unacceptably and that you may want a separate area.....but there was no tables even outside the main restuarant where we could eat in comfort and away from other guests. We took the dog for a walk but apart from 3 bin all within 50m of the hotel there were no other bins we could find for poo bags. We will not be staying with you again.

During our two-night stay, my five-year-old daughter stumbled upon a bag of marijuana on our first night. Despite my wife mentioning a strange smell in the room (which I couldn't detect due to sinusitis), the reception and cleaning staff showed little concern when I reported it. They didn't even inquire about my daughter's well-being. Although she was fine, it would have been reassuring if they had shown more empathy. They didn't offer to change rooms or address the issue further. The incident made me question the cleanliness of the rooms, especially since a young child found the marijuana. Throughout the rest of our stay, I remained vigilant and discovered mold in the tub and on the ceiling of the leisure clubhouse. Overall, I'm not impressed with this place. I'd even go as far as to say it's worse than some cheap hotels in other towns.

Very bad customer Service at Management level hotel now part of Britannia hotel chain so wouldn’t expect anything else! And will get worse with lack of investment and decor and charging for extras that other chains include as standard do yourself a favour and book somewhere else

They charged for the swimming pool and gym which was not declared while booking. The room had quite a hot radiator next to the bed and the valve did not work to cool it down.

2nd time being there after 8 years and it hasn't changed, very dated. Some doors and windows are dirty. Grass area outside of room window was overgrown with broken slabs thrown on the grass. TV in first room didn't work, tap in shower didn't work properly.

When you get there, they tell you the swimming pool has limited access and you have to pay £5 extra per person to use. The rooms are old with carpet coming up. Course views are actually of the car park. Nothing in the bathroom other than a very small bar of soap. You’d be better staying at a premier inn as the food isn’t a nice but very expensive!!!

disappointing that they charge for use of the pool. £5 per person per time for a 1 hour session. Breakfast was luke warm as hot plates aren't hot enough to keep the food warm. Restaurant food is Wetherspoons quality. Even as a guest you cannot run a tab in the restaurant so had to pay for drinks to have whilst studying the menu and then pay again when we ordered the food.

I hate giving poor reviews but this was disappointing and seemed poor value for money. Shabby, dated and poorly maintained. Inattentive service and understaffed. Did not really offer “country club” promise. Two night stay and no housekeeping or explanation offered. Breakfast was a sad truck stop experience. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Good value for money but you have to pay £5 per person to use the gym and swimming pool. Swimming pool was heaving with people. Bar area good but some unsavoury people staying. Lots of dogs!

Weekend walking break
Hotel was as expected. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. When we booked the hotel the spa was advertised as free for guests, however when we checked in, we were told the spa had changed it's policy and would now charge £5.00 per person per visit! When we went to the spa the receptionist neglected to mention we would need £1.00 coin for the locker! This was not the fault of the hotel though

Extra charges - no room clean
Stayed 2 nights and found that my room was not cleaned or bed made - when asked reception told beds only made if stay is over 5 nights. Also extra charge for using the gym - neither of these are in the hotel lusting

The room smelt terribly of smoke despite being a no-smoking room. It was so bad to the point that my bag even smelt of it when I left. The room was very dated, bar closed very early.

No hot water
Stayed for five nights had no hot water for two of the mornings when told reception was told sorry we will look into it not a lot we can do at the moment when I asked for some sort of recompense was told I would have to phone the main office of Britannia

A budget hotel, what do you expect for the money!
A cheap and reasonable place to stay, room cleanliness not the best, toe nail clippings and sanitary towel in bathroom bin, not emptied. Seems the room also only gets cleaned when you leave or if you ask at reception.

perfect start to new years, good pints too
This is a beautiful place with lots of facilities available. reception and bar staff were polite and welcoming, especially the reception staff. The room was clean, a few scuffs like gum on the carpet but otherwise the room itself was perfect, the bath was wonderful, too.

Business trip, then stayed for a couple of days to visit the area. Was a nice location, the only down side was the very busy car park, which was at capacity the whole time. Nice amenities, staff friendly. Adequate food and drink provision. Some decor seemed a bit dated. Would stay again.

Overall good
Lovely hotel, beautiful reception area and helpful staff when checking in, the room was nice and clean, unfortunately there was no information in the room regarding the resturant or the room service that is advertised, no menu and no alternative options close by for when the resturant is fully booked (which it was). Also the beds were not very comfortable, very very firm and although this is personal choice we both struggled to sleep well which is unfortunate. The breakfast was delicious though, lovely service, well laid out and a lot of choice. Lovely touch having the dedicated gluten free toaster and choices for coeliacs. Lots of parking however this was all full and finding a space was very difficult, ended up having to park on grass in an area designed for golfers and not overnight guests. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return but would like to try different beds!

Not the best
Lovely location. Parking a nightmare and we had to park 100 meters away on a field a car park. Sauna, steam room, pool and jacuzzi nice but looking a bit tatty. Bed was too hard, I had worse nights sleep ever and woke up in agony.

The staff were lovely, although needed more. Waited 15 mins in a queue to check in, which was tricky with bags/luggage. The room was nice and clean enough. No window, but was sold as such. My only concern was directly outside my room, and my first view, was a clutter of 'stuff' including canvases, lampshades, chairs and other bits and bobs blocking a corridor area. There was an "attempt' to hide it with a small screen and a chair but it didnt look good and I felt was a fire risk? This sadly let a lovely hotel down for me.
