Snug harbor cottage
Perfect cottage for a quick few days get away! Just enough space for me, my husband and our 4 and 6 year old daughters who slept on the pullout sofa. We wanted to spend the majority of our time at the beach, and only wanted a place to sleep and cook breakfast. We would definitely rent again!

Our favorite place!
This place is perfect for my family. We have family who boat close by and it’s a stone throw away. We just need a nice cozy spot to sleep. Clean, updated, and can’t complain about the location!

Great Stay as always
Frank's place is small and quaint but very clean and cozy. I've visited several times now, and I hope to return once or twice a year when possible. Since RI is a small state, everything is within driving distance (Jamestown, Newport, Providence, etc. I love to kayak and fish, and this is a great location to access all of my favorite southern RI salt ponds. The cottage kitchen has all that you need, just bring your food, condiments, sugar, k-cup coffee and meals and you're all set. Or visit the nearby restaurants and you don't need to cook at all ;)

Wonderful place! Very, very clean. Lovely cottage, well decorated and it had everything we needed. Quality equipment, dishes, etc. Heated floor in the bathroom, and mini splits for customizable heat and air conditioning. Frank was an excellent host. We loved being at the marina! This is really a great place and we highly recommend it!

Excellent cottage
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway on our first anniversary. The cottage is great with everything very modern and comfortable. Staying in a cottage is more private and fun than a hotel because you can cook your meals and save money by eating out. Went out for walks by the boats every morning before heading to Newport for the day.

Nice quiet get away
Very convenient to all of southern RI and Connecticut. Unit was very clean and well stocked with all cooking/ kitchen needs, Fast internet and two minute walk to the marina docks.always a nice cool ocean. A great little cottage
I had a nice stay. The cottage is convenient to South Kingston, URI, Narragansett, and Point Judith. It's clean and comfortable with all the mod cons, including a full function kitchen, big screen TVs, cool very quiet and remotely controllable AC. I would definitely stay there again.

Frank was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Place was clean. Pull out couch could use a better mattress, but it was adequate. There isn't a direct waterview as it is a marina with a lot of boats. I'm mentioning this only because I thought there was being that it was at a marina. However, that was my assumption. It was a pleasant place to stay. Very quiet. There are so many places to sit by the water within a short distance, we didn't mind not having a direct waterview as we were gone all day. This place is adequate for 2-4 people. All kitchen supplies were available if needed. I hope the storm did not cause any damage to the marina or the properties as it was a pleasant place to stay. Most importantly, I hope everyone was safe from the storm. Thanks for a great place to stay.

The cottage is very pretty and comfortable. Frank was kind enough to lend us a grill. There was no hairdryer, I didn't notice that it wasn't included. Having no linens was not convenient for us. We traveled from NM but luckily had family who could lend us items. A corkscrew and wine glasses would have been nice. Boats being repaired blocked the water view.

Great little cottage- prefect short get away for myself, my husband, and 2 year old son to enjoy local beaches. Had all the amenities that we needed for the few days we stayed. My son loved walking on the docks to see all the boats. Frank was great in accommodating an early check-in because we got into the area earlier than expected. Very responsive when I reached out last minute.

We thought the cottage was great. Everything is new so it was super clean. Tight for 4 people, perfect for 3. My 11 year old stayed on the pull out. She had a friend come for two nights and that was tight but doable. The shower was small but I’m a small person so I didn’t mind and the water pressure was fantastic. I don’t know much about the area so maybe I missed that it was in a marina parking lot. Didn’t love that but we didn’t let it spoil the week. We’d stay again.

Hi Nicole: Thank you for your review, agreed this can be tight for 4 adults, but is described as a cottage, not a home. Secondly, to be fair the cottage is located within a 6 acre marina facility, and not in a parking lot. The marina parking lot is several hundred feet away on the waterfront by the docks. The cottage is very private in a corner with another cottage and garage surrounded by grass.

My family of four enjoyed this one bedroom cottage, the bed was very comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked, the living room was great for relaxing. I enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch. My morning was topped off by Monarch butterfly, bunny and bird in close range!

I'm sorry you couldn't sleep on the mattress, but as you know everyone has a different mattress preference, whether hard or soft, this is a good quality mattress, bought new 1 year ago. I will look into it, but believe this to be more of a personal sleeping preference than a worn out mattress. Especially since the previous guest commented how comfortable it was ? Again I am sorry.

The cottage was very clean and the communication with the host was excellent. It was snug for two adults and two children. The mattress on the pull out couch was very uncomfortable and I thought that the cleaning fee of $70 was high considering there are no linens included. A grill, outside shower, and a sliding glass door rather than one that can’t be open while watching tv from the couch would make this newly renovated cottage a true gem.

I'm sorry that you were not 100% satisfied, but it is a cottage not a home, so could be snug for four people. The cleaning fee was clearly stated in our specifications, and according to the cleaning people was fully warranted as there was an excessive amount of garbage left in the cottage, personal items, food in the refrigerator, and excessive food stains and spills on the floor and couch. This is also the first complaint I've had about the couch, but we'll look into it. A grill is forthcoming, and an outside shower is not feasible at this time, although they were not listed in the amenities. As far as the door goes yes it does block the TV however there is a large window right next to the couch that can be open for fresh air if you wanted.

Frank is a wonderful host. Cottage was tucked away in the corner of the Marina. Perfect for launching my kayak. Didn't mind bringing my own linens. I prefer my own since CoVid.

This fit the bill perfectly for me. It is a quiet cottage, very clean and comfortable, and exactly as advertised. I just needed a simple place to crash for a few days while in the area and had a great stay. The cottage was a pleasure to enjoy and perfect for one person or couple. Even more ideal if you have any reason to stay near the Marina. All of my communications with the owner were responded to quickly and fully. Checking in and out was a breeze. Would stay there again in a second.

Frank was easy to get in contact with through VRBO messaging and texting. Check-in and check-out process was simple and easy. Cottage was comfortable for three people, with two on the queen bed and one on the couch. The place was well lit with mindful consideration for where wall outlets were located. Air conditioning units in living room and bedroom were easy to control. Quiet, safe residential location near the marina. 15-20min drive to main areas, like Narragansett.

Rode bikes every day to the beach, tiny but perfectly equipped. Frank was great and checked in on us. Front porch looks out onto board yard and parking lot so not exactly scenic.

Sorry about the two bundles of boards, they were only their temporarily as we are doing some repairs to some boats in the yard and we put them there to keep them out of the way.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, though the property has no closets, and the shower is quite small and has a problematic door. As the neighborhood is based around the beach/water, it would make sense for it to have an outdoor shower. My wife quite enjoyed the rabbits and the hedgehog who live nearby.

Cutest cottage ever....But there were somethings that were frustrating. Although everything is brand new .... there are no closets to hang things .... I had to hang them on doors . The shower was too small ...With Nowhere to move... there is a smart TV ... it’s a good idea to already have Netflix or Hulu to sign into ...... The kitchen is brand new... it could use a cutting board because there’s nowhere to cut things .... good idea to bring your own big steamer pan for lobsters and clams because there isn’t one . But there are regular pots and pans and they are limited .Don’t get me wrong ...I loved it!!! Cutest cottage ever 💙Thanks Frank

Great home base for 2 if want to use the marina, near many great beaches, or whatever you'd like to do at the RI shore! I was concerned it could be noisy or fishy being at a marina, but not at all. The house is pretty distanced from the docks and very quiet! Would definitely use again.

Nicely redone little cottage in great area for fishermen/women. Make sure to bring your own linens, towels, etc. It is a clean and very cute place, I really enjoyed my stay. Frank is very nice and accommodating.
