"This hotel claims that the staff speak English and Geeman. The lady who welcomed us in the reception spoke English and German, one lady in the restaurant spoke German - but the others we met seemed to panic by the language challenge.

"Amazing little hotel in a small German town. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Food was excellent and at a good value. Beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, but had a great view from the balcony. Everything else was excellent. "
"I visited summer during Bayreuth Festival, but the location and region are more catered for winter sports. Area is a bit quiet and there isn't much eating out or shopping around (except 2-3 restaurants and a single supermarket a town nearby), and 30-35 minutes from Bayreuth (and much cheaper to stay here than in Bayreuth during August when the Wagner events are going on).
